North Ferriby need £30,000, which is 50% of the cost of upgrading their all-weather pitch.

Wouldn't it be a nice thing if City's players had a 'whip-round' and came up with the money.

(JB could do it, on his own, in one week!)

If you worked in Tescos would you and your colleagues have a whip round to fix the conveyor belt at Fred Bloggs corner shop?

How is that relevant as a comparison? This is about football and North Ferriby aren't in competition with City. City play friendlies with their club.

The club may have ties with them, but the players dont.

Maybe Mr Allam could provide another gift to the local sporting community?

Why dont Hull City send there best kids to play for North Ferriby ? They are one league under Conference North and only 2 divisions under the football league. Ferriby play far more game than the reserves do. Surely this would help
    them develope better.

Because our 'best kids' can secure loan deals in higher divisions with clubs that can afford to cover their wages.

    Not a bad idea

I think the point French Tickler was making was the 'best kids' who couldn't get loan deals elsewhere, hence him saying that it's better them play for Ferriby than in our reserves who OLM highlighted have about 18 games this season. It'd be easier to setup an agreement with Ferriby not to overplay them too as teams at that level tend to get fixture congestion due to called off games.

But truthfully i think NP would rather them train with our coaches and learn what we want to teach them rather than just go somewhere else for the sake of them getting games. Not sure what the regulars at Ferriby would think about losing their places to some kids from Hull City either.

I thought we had an agreement in place with them as a club about paying for upgrades to the ground? I could have sworn a few years back there was something made of us having the reserves based there being what enabled them to pay for floodlight upgrades or something? Or was that just a case of the Reserves League needing higher spec floodlights than Ferriby had so we paid for it?
