Toon Haters out in force again I see!!

I for one, am not shouting down the house about our new manager. He is not everyones cup of tea but i am all for giving the guy a chance at the start. But, looking at the BBC Sport website that has comments enabled for the article about McClaren I was a bit shocked at the level of abuse aimed at us and our club. You know the usual, who do they think they are, small club, never won owt for years, how dare they dare to dream about future glories etc... We have never said we would win the league, or anything for that matter. All we have said is we would like our team to try a bit harder and have a GO!! What is wrong with that? But no, we are not allowed to think that, know your place you thick Geordies they say, you are siht and we intend to ridicule you at every step. No club gets this level of abuse from other fans. Its all because we almost, almost won the Premier League but failed at the final hurdles!! And boy how they love throwing it back in our faces at every oppurtunity...Fcuk EM!!!!

 

Couldn't agree more. This stuff about top 10 in Europe is a bit rich though, seems Schteve has caught the big talk bug that seemed to infect our playing staff last season. Just knuckle down and let the signings and results do the talking.

 

I think it was in the sun today there was a terrible article basically slating McClaren and us. Sh*tty rag anyway.

Exactly. This ****ty 'little' club that is a category A game at every ground and pisses all over the other clubs in and around us for TV exposure. This ****ty 'little' club that has the third highest average attendances in the EPL and that almost always sells out away game allocation. Yeah, what a ****ty 'little' club we are..............**** 'em all!!
