I am watching Germany v USA and the cameras have just shown Gunter Netzer in the crowd.

Does anyone on here remember the awesome performance Netzer gave at Wembley in 1971 when he tore England apart with his range of passing ?

I was there that evening and it was one of the finest individual displays I have ever seen. Germany outplayed us that night and Netzer was unbelievable.

Yes, he almost single handedly took England apart!

A sentence I probably won't use ever again: where's Jack Wilshere when you need him?

I'm not saying that's not a foul, as it's clearly a cynical, intentional lunge to stop the run, but did he actually touch him? I can't see any contact.
Ozil anticipates the tackle and lifts his leg over Yedlin.

Klinsmann's side won 2-1 in his native country, for anyone that didn't know. Another comeback victory.
Yedlin came on at HT with the teams level at 1-1. Good winning goal, **** commentary:

Given Wilshere's track record, he'd probably rule himself out for the rest of the season even if he dived, which counts as win-win in my book!

Well done Gareth Bale and well done Wales and well done to Chris Coleman. A great result.

I had my doubts about Coleman and still do but you can't argue with the results he's got in the qualifiers.

I saw an article on the BBC the other day comparing Giggs and Bale's records. There's really no comparison, Bale's commitment an ability would put most international players in the shade, let alone Giggs who was never anywhere near as dedicated or talented.

On a darker note, there's this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33120517

I mean what the **** is going on in these countries?!

Can you actually see the swastika, cause I can't? Is it an age thing, only visible to 30 year olds and younger?

It's visible, but it's very faint and runs into the other lines of the pitch.
Does this help?

Probably not.
