Is Bowyer fit for the shirt?

Discussion in 'Ipswich Town' started by YorkieLancsHampyLondoner, Jul 11, 2011.

Is Bowyer fit for the Town shirt?

  1. It's a disgrace, he shouldn't have been signed

  2. I'm all for the move, what he did doesn't bother me

  3. I have mixed emotions, but on balance we need him

Thats good enough for me, I now love the bloke if they hate him.
BTW he was aquitted of the assault with Woodgate and settled out of court on the other so was never found guilty! Also if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have Turbo shandy!

In all seriousness I think he'll be great for us and give 100% and if we all were punnished now for the stupid things we did when we were young we'd all be in trouble!

So he's a racist if playing badly but a good bloke if playing well? For those unhappy with the signing surely his performance is irrelevant?

Sorry I'm just catching up with the thread as now we are in my timezone

and for the record I think we need discussions like this with everyone's opinions if we subscribe to freedom of speech!

Also Hamps dont go..its just a very sensitive subject which you obviously feel very strongly about!

Nope you've got your facts all muddled up there Pioneer. He was found guilty and fined in the first instance and he was acquitted of the charges of GBH in the Woodgate case but still settled out of court to the tune of 170,000 for the guy's injuries. Make of that what you will.

Nope I think these things will come to the surface if it doesn't work out on the pitch. Imagine if Tamas Priskin had all this behind him AND his form was as bad as it has been. The fans would have turned on him a long time ago. that's my only point.

In case you didn't notice, Paul Jewell signed him!

I disagree, I for one have never done anything even half as bad as that and I don't think most people have. Everyone does naughty stuff but most of it doesn't harm others.

At the end of the day who are we to say who deserves forgiveness and who doesn't??

I don't think PJ is just saying this because he signed him.

I agree Dundee time to move on and let the past stay in the past, my point has been made and made again so i'll leave it at that, i hope i did'nt come across too right wing or left wing, i'm not sure which wing my opinions rest on to be fair, i just hope people understand what i was getting at.

Good idea Gus. I'm pretty certain that this was something to do with the Town's kit for next season but I may be wrong....
