He probably is the best player in the league regardless what the British media think. 25 goals 11 assists in his first Season in England. He tackles, he runs and runs, scores every type of goal. For me it would be between Aguero and Sanchez.
Sanchez is a dream player to have. Not only is he pure class, but he is one of the hardest workers in world football. I marvel at his workrate, while the majority will just trot around, he continues to run off the ball. Our best player and one of the best in the world. The best signing Wenger has made in quite some time.
How can I forget such a wonderful player, a true Arsenal legend. He was a player that transcended football, the Muhammed Ali of football..
Have to come back to this thread. Now that the season has ended it really hits home what a fantastic player we've got in Sanchez. Some of the goals he scored this season were absolute belters and on top of that his work rate and desire and never say die attitude are perfect for Arsenal. What a player .. Alexis Sanchez take a bow:
Truly world class. Give him an inch and he'll score a spectacular goal. Funny thing is its his first season, just imagine his second!
That is such a monster of a goal, hope he isn't burnt out too much by two summers running with no break.
That's the one thing I worry about, he'll have had a season of La Liga, a tough WC, a move to a tough new league, then another international comp over the summer when he should be resting. If he's on form with the same amount of energy at the start of next season, then he'll officially be a monster with super human stamina and energy! But I feel we'll be less reliant on him next season, particularly if we buy another striker and DM - we'll have Oxo pushing hard for a spot in the team, Wilshire as well, Welbeck, Walcott, Santi can all play there - and Walcott should be fully fit and on form, same for Ramsey, which are two dangerous players, so the onus shouldn't be all on Sanchez at the start of next season which will help.
Why would the media be anti-Sanchez or Arsenal? Maybe he's just a very good player who isn't as good as you think he is.
It's a genuine question. Do you think the media have something against Sanchez and/or Arsenal and, if so, why?
There's no mistaking Hazard is a superb player but Alexix strikes me as a more complete team player (obvious bias here). I don't think the media have an agenda against him, enough positive things have been said, but we have the reputation of "nearly but not quite". Sanchez had a little lull in the middle of the season and that was around the same time that Chelsea were pulling away from City in ominous fashion. You could make a case for 4 or 5 players this season but I think they were always likely to look at the league champions and pick their best player.
South Americans are tearing up the European scene, Sanchez, Aguero, Messi, Neymar, Suarez.......Falcao, Di Maria, wink wink
It's simple, if Hazard played for Arsenal and Sanchez Chelski, Sanchez would be praised as the best EPL player, and you can bet all the pundits would be like Hazard needs to learn from Sanchez bla bla bla.
