It was a reverse of the Bruce thing a few years ago. Swings and roundabouts. Our club has this in-built ability to shoot itself in its foot at the wrong time. Clubs like ours simply can't compete. I think the only way to deliver relative success for mid table clubs is for the top 6 to play in a big Euro league full time. This is inevitable one day but it will be sad to see.
