The defender is expected to stay in Wales with League Two Newport reportedly interested in securing the services of the 32 year old, who was once on the books at Manchester United. Tate wants to stay in Wales and a move to Rodney Parade could be the most logical step. Tate said to Wales Online: “I’m sorry to go, but I’ve loved every minute of it. “It goes without saying that I’d like to thank everyone for making my time at Swansea so special – from the club, staff, players, supporters and the city as a whole. “I’m pleased to have helped the club go from strength to strength since that game against Hull way back in 2003.” Newport are looking to bolster their squad as they came agonisingly close to a play off position in League Two last season.
yes hope it works out for him whever he ends up . Newport would be ideal in terms of not having to move but imo he can still play at a higher level .
