    <applause>
<peacedove> Next season Uefa champion league football is no longer available on Sky and ITV.
I wonder if Sky has another strategy?.
Bt sports has already won in court that their customers can subscribe to Sky Sports
    BT are winners?.

    From the graudian
"As a non-paying television viewer will I be able to watch the Champions League?
Yes. As part of the negotiations, Uefa insisted that some matches, including both finals, were shown free-to-air in order to preserve the value of its sponsorship deals and ensure that they could be seen by a wider audience. Under the current agreement, one game in every round of Champions League matches is shown on ITV, as well as some Europa League games. BT has promised that every participating British team will be shown free at least once a season to non-subscribers. Also, ITV could yet pick up a highlights package."

dont know if BT have gone back on this deals but looks like some will be free, I get BT sport included in my package at the moment though so I am ok plus there is always watching online if not.
Dont think it will affect the way many people thibnk re TV packages but pubs etc might as the CL games are important with them all being night matches,.

And Sky have increased theirs. Hilarious! The quality of their product diminishes yet they charge more. Ridiculous the way it's going - it's not even like paying the full wack (£60/70 now?) gives you the ability to watch every game!

I am with Virgin have top tv package so get BT Sport free. But skysports package with Virgin has just gone up again. The price is getting ridiculous thinking of going over to BT what is the TV like on BT compared to using Virgin cable?

  11. Same but I bought a Now TV box to watch the Sky Sports games on. Its £6.99 for a 24hr pass but if you go on Ebay you can pick them up for about £3-£4 each. Works out cheaper if you only ever watch Liverpool. Most they were on TV in a single month last season was four time (happened once) which works out cheaper (£27.96 if paying the full £6.99 a time) then the Sky Sports subscription (£28pcm)

Just read that as from next season BT Sport Customers (even those who get it free with BT Broadband), will have to pay £5 a month in order to watch UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches.
Also Gary Lineker has joined the list of pundits for BT Sport?!?! <yikes>
Does this mean his is leaving MOTD?

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jun/09/bt-sport-gary-lineker-champions-league

EDIT: Just re-read, Broadband customers still get it free.
Bt Sports package subscribers will have to pay the additional £5 though.

As long as there are enough law abiding citizens like you Tobes, who pay to watch TV, then the leechers will be able to get it for free <ok>

So the best way to stop the leechers is if everyone stops paying?
