We can get rid of Rodgers at any time the owners want. I don't think Kenwright will be in any rush to sack himself.
So much negativity. Hes already your best striker (might change of Sturridge is ever fit) and hes a menace of a striker. Hes basically charlie austin mk2. Wont win poty but will get you 10-15 goals no problem.
Ok ings may not be everyone's cup of tea and Brendan may not be the best judge of players but i think ings may do very well. You cant really judge him until you see how he fits in at Liverpool but he is as good as anyone at Liverpool at the moment so wait and see before writing him off
Ings isn't a free signing there will be a fee involved as he is under 24 Burnley rejected Liverpools first offer looks like it on the way to a tribunal or whatever they call it now.
Decent signings for (near) free. Are they the sum total of what we need? No. Are they an improvement on half the ****e we've got? Yes. 2 players in and little out of the transfer budget. No one can complain at that as long as these are the lesser of our signings not the pinnacle.
i think its sensible to say yeah they are better than the total trash we have. milner has held his own at city in a title winning team set up so he is top 4. ings is maybe top half at best right now but who knows if he will or won't be top 6. to dsimiss it now is a bit.... well why bother at all then we need to freshen the place up and i feel the whole strucutre is the place to do that so i still await what will happen there
I'd agree if I could really tell who's picked. Rodgers in the end has either shut his mouth and let it happen or actively picked the dross I like some of our players and not others. We will have to see.

I think Ings is a great signing Only 22 and could start in the premiership with experience and good for 10-15 goals The misconception that he is not a top four player, is because fans want inho and aldo finishing names When Blackburn bought Shearer from southampton,Linaker from where ever how would that be viewed today,similar with Keegan ,Rush etc I think this will work out, better than most of these young spanish etc players whos names are forgotten now after a few games and then loaned out
It was Sutton But the rest of your post is spot on. There is no reason why Ings can`t turn out better than Sturridge, it is only because of the team you are buying from that the "not good enough" tag is being attached.

John Aldridge? Not sure he's got the pace anymore... I think Ings is a decent addition, as long as we bring in someone more developed as well. If he's our only striking purchase this summer then I would be concerned. As an aside, 10-15 goals presumably assumes that he would be starting most games, which he probably won't be. And if he is starting more, I would want him to be scoring more than 10-15 goals, as in, getting more like 20 goals or more. Could he step up? If he does stay as a squad rather than first 11 player, then I would think 5-10 goals would be more likely.
Hang on. If he plays europa group stage that should be about 6-8 goals right thete. C'mon lads. Minimum I expect is 15 goals
