Sadio could have had his own compilation from the City match. 2nd seasons are always tough, but I'm expecting big things from Super Mane next season The 5th was probably my favourite goal of the season, but I was prefer a team goal to a wonder strike
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...pact_of_Europa_League_on_Southampton/?ref=mac “The bigger picture for clubs like Southampton is maintaining your Premier League status." I'm not saying it won't be a challenge having the Europa League, but does Souness think we are still the club always fighting relegation? We really should know our place.
Agreed. He's not privvy to vision, ambition and news coming out of Southampton FC any more than we are. In fact, I expect he's actually less well informed than us as he doesn't focus on every nuance like we do. In my opinion, the Europa will be great european football experience for the club as it has never been able to build on the limited exposure it has had during the club's history. The Europa should be taken seriously as a stepping stone for toning up for the Champions League. After all, what point is there in qualification if Saints don't take the competition seriously. And there's no point in doing that either if the league position suffers. So this is all about getting the club ready for making the next step.
And more importantly he stepped in to take an almost lifelong career at Saints away from whispering Dave Merrington and managed to absolutely no better. Matching whispering Dave may even be his managerial career highlight.
