Leeds United's new club secretary has had his first day at Elland Road today since joining from Liverpool, according to BBC Radio Leeds. The Yorkshire giants have appointed Stuart Hayton to the vital role behind the scenes at the club, following his departure from Premier League giants Liverpool this summer. Hayton becomes one of a number of key officials appointed by Leeds this summer, with a new head coach in the shape of Uwe Rosler in place, along with a new assistant in the form of Rob Kelly. Leeds also have an executive director in Adam Pearson, who arrived from Sheffield Wednesday to work as owner Massimo Cellino's right hand man. The Whites are still in the market for a head of recruitment as they look to beef up their operations ahead of the new season. Leeds suffered a string of departures throughout last term, with chief operating officer Matt Child exiting, while assistant boss Steve Thompson was suspended. Sporting director Nicola Salerno was said to have resigned and head coach Neil Redfearn was told his contract would not be renewed at the end of the campaign.

Sharp can't play as a lone striker in the 4-3-3 formation Rosler prefers, so no good to us unfortunately, may only be used coming off the bench as an extra striker when chasing a game ... as always, best to wait and see who signs ... even though speculating keeps things interesting, there are too many silly rumours going around to make them interesting ...
