I only had the Megane nine months. I took it back into the garage (over night each time) no less than twelve times in that time. Ended up getting my money back and bought the Avensis instead.
Only done 10,000 on mine since I bought it and had all of that go wrong. Quite like the look of the Giulietta or Mito. The Multi-Air engines are fantastic.
My friend imported a Japanese Car "Honda Logo" from Japan, can't believe it that nothing went went wrong with it for five years apart from changing the tyres and taking for MOT for five years. This Honda Logo is also five doors. Incredible.
Alfa's are great but never own one that's out of warranty. I had a 159 twin spark for a while, lovely drivers car, but bits just kept falling off it.
I've got the C-Max focus which I believe are very similar engine wise, could be wrong though. However, I was advised to avoid the 1.8 so I got the 2.0l. It simply doesn't stop going
Triumph Spitfire 1500 in Brooklands green. Was bought new in 1981, so it was one of the very last (they stopped making them in 1980). Bought it as a rolling restoration in 2001 for 500, sold it in 2007 for 1500 to a guy from Nothern Ireland, who flew in to pick it up from Essex, then drove it back via Liverpool. Absolutely loved that car, and it was great fun to drive (if not exactly the quickest these days). Sadly money and time isses meant we never really got it up to the standard we were hoping for, but it was great nonetheless.
Any of you remember vinyl roofs on cars? What was their purpose? They were very difficult to clean as they had an uneven texture. Were vinyl roofs supposed to make cars look like convertibles.
Had a Metro, traded it for a 106, then a Corsa, now a Peugeot 206, but am looking at the New Nissan Qashqai, quite like them: (In Chelsea blue ofc ) please log in to view this image
they are fine ntil you go price your first set of new tyres. aren't these 2 wheel dirve as well... paying massive money for tyres to haul you round at poor economy there i reckon. I have 300k on my golf now. not bad that.
Well I heard the Blue ones cost more than most to run, but they get the job done efficiently. The red ones on the other hand, I heard they got rid of the original, awesome motor that previous models had, and replaced it with a new motor made up of lots of cheaper materials from inferior cars, and they just dont cut the mustard
not to worry though... the red one has sustainable fule whereas the blue one will choke up on dodgy russian fuel fairly shortly.
