The Women's World Cup in Canada starts in June - with the BBC bringing full coverage for the first time.

Each of the 52 matches will be shown across the BBC, with every game available to watch on the BBC Sport website, while all England fixtures will be on BBC Radio 5 live.

The tournament begins on Saturday, 6 June as hosts Canada take on China. (BBC Three; 23:00 BST KO).

England open against France on Tuesday, 9 June, (BBC Two; 18:00 BST KO).

slightly off topic but today is also the kick-off for the Under 20's World Cup here in New Zealand. I'll be heading off to the opening ceremony in a couple of hours with the opening game being NZ v Ukraine. Hoping for a great tournament, will also be watching as much of the Womens world cup as possible. Copa America soon too, all helps for the off-season!

Will watch when the games become more competitive.

I tried to watch Canada Vs China but it was an awful game. Then I tried to watch Germany Vs Ivory coast but it was too embarrassing to watch. The Ivorians were a disgrace and were not competitive at all. They were so unprofessional, arguing among themselves, then with their coach; an awful advert for Women's football.

I'll tune in again when knock-out stages kick in.

I am with you, tried to watch some of it and it is just so boring, mind you no more boring than ROI v England on Saturday. I am not a chauvinist but women's football is simply not for me.

England v France - what a load of ****. After all the build up, it was played in front of 1 woman and her dog in a rain swept, open stadium. No atmosphere. Two poor teams.

Forget the hype, Eastenders was better <laugh>

Having watched some of Canada/China and France/England I wouldn't watch women's soccer live if they let me in free.

England were dominated by France from start to finish........I know France are a good side and always get the better of England but i expected more from them this time....very poor display from them after all the hype in the media about how good and improved side they are....

I doubt many of the Sunday League cloggers who are dismissing the women so readily, would be able to live with them,on the pitch,I mean,of course.

If men played the WC wimen It`d be like the vinnie & gaza ball grabbing incident all over the shop mun, plus that wotson comentator bloke will get in trouble saying he elbowed her in the tit so often !
plus we would join in their goal celebrations ! spitting swearing and fighting would be worse and if she dives like chico we be villified in the press !
Be funny to see a boys under 18`s national squad against em tho ?

Does everyone realise that Mark Sampson (the England manager) is Welsh and used to work for us?
He coached Joe Allen and Ben Davies amongst others.

Fair play that goal which knocked them out was the cruellest OG I've ever seen....they were better than Japan and without the bad luck I reckon they'd be playing in a World Cup Final this Sunday.
    Well done Mark!
