As already mentioned, his critics (Dan Kelly and TigerRoo included) are all based overseas and as such never saw him cutting championship defences to confetti like a hot knife through butter. They're basing their assessments on the premier league era where the fat useless cretin opted to use the small and lightweight Aluko as a target man for all our hoofing and 50 yard crosses from the halfway line.
Looks like we can't keep him even if we want to. If Derby meet all the requirements then apparently we can't stop him going. http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-City-fight-Derby-County-Tom-Ince/story-26657838-detail/story.html
It really does beggar believe at time when you hear things like this happening within the club. If he does go there, will be interesting to see whether he made the right decision at the end of the season.
You can't blame him if he doesn't want to keep with Bruce. Bruce never has a plan b, and has his favourites and will play them whatever. I remember the first season back in the top tier. For the first half of that season Elmo couldn't cross to save his life and yet he always kept his place in the side.
Posted the above last Sunday, I don't honestly know why we bought him, then went through all the tribunal ****, just to ship him out to Derby, maybe he wasn't good enough for the PL,I don't known, what I do know is it appears he wasn't given much of a go(maybe its because he's a flair player and doesn't hoof it 60yds at the first opportunity). This to me has to be one of the strangest transfers in the club's history, since when have we " Hull City AFC " had millions to waste,(oh sorry forgot about Hernández). I am starting to wonder what the hell is going on at the club behind the scenes.(I mean this I'm starting to get a little concerned)
Ince played in the first 7 matches of the season before we signed Ben Arfa, to say he didn't get a chance to impress is just wrong. We should take Derby's money now, he clearly doesn't want to be here and he'll go for free next summer.
David Burns@bbcburnsy23m23 minutes ago I could be wrong on this but I've a vague memory that somebody once told me that Derby had a right to buy on Ince of £5m. #hcafc 6 retweets0 favorites
Sydney Tiger is another one, probably not been to a game since 1975 but full of it based on dodgy streams and Radio Blunderside opinions, Aluko has to be at least as good as Ince at Championship level if not a lot better
I've got high hopes for Maguire too similarly and at least we know for sure he will be playing for us too
Bollocks. He only played about half that many games and they were all in a ridiculous target man role. Stick him on the wing and he's a great player. The way we've managed him from the start has been utterly ridiculous. From signing him and Snodgrass at the same time when we already had Aluko (3 very similar playing styles) and using them all outside of their best position, to giving up on him when he didn't score loads employed as a target man and now this absurd oversight.
To be in a position whereby, if the buying club can come up with the fee in one, we have absolutely no powers of negotiation in retaining a player who proved his goal scoring worth last season in the league that we'll be playing in this season is nothing less than rank poor management. More and more I'm losing faith in whether Steve Bruce has what it takes to elevate us again to the PL, I truly hope that I'm wrong but my fears are that Ince plays better in team that plays quick free flowing football, and that Bruce is incapable of reproducing that style with his rigidly favoured formation of 3-5-2, and I'm pretty sure that if that's what I think then it will have crossed the minds of Tom Ince and his dad. See you Tom, what could have been eh.
Steve Bruce is a terrible manager. God only knows how he's managed at high levels for so long. It'd be interesting to see just how much money he's wasted over his managerial career.
