I've met Kate Middleton and had a long chat with her, she's extremely pleasant
I also tried to chat up Beki Bondage from Vice Squad. Didn't work, but she did come back and ask me for a light. She was also extremely pleasant
    They are quite different though

In the 80's sat next to Enoch Powell on the tube.
Met Shane MacGowan early 90's he was out of it lunch time in Camden. It was St Paddy's day and he was due to play big gig that night. Just checked the bugger is still alive. Unbelievable.
Met Jock Davidson around 1979 at Springhead Park golf course. Waved him through and ended up playing the last 6 holes with him. Lovely bloke.

Princess Anne. Yep, she presented me with a certificate at the Royal Albert Hall. She was on the verge of dozing off.

Ted Heath. Yep, spoke to him at length about a traffic scheme in his constituency, he was wearing jogging pants.

Brian Horton once rang me up to bollock me for writing a negative article about Frankie Bunn.

I met Bobby Doyle at his house after he had retired. He was really nice, especially as all I could do was stare at his knacked leg.

I flew to Lebanon sat across the aisle from Miss Dynamite.

Saw Prince William at Heraklion airport, surrounded by bodyguards. I think he recognised me, but I disappeared into the crowd...

I wouldn't worry about that patty, I'm pretty sure there isn't a single person on this forum who takes you seriously...

I once appeared in a humberside fire service training video.

Filmed our class at primary school. They filled a cloakroom with a fog machine and we demonstrated the correct way to vacate a smoke filled room.

This was followed by a question and answer session. Simon snorkel was big at the time.

I saw John Nott sat opposite me on the tube during the Falklands War reading the newspaper like he didn't have a care in the world.

I was once on the 'down' escalator at Leicester Square and, as I descended, I passed Pete Townsend who was ascending.

The two escalators had a good separation, which was a good thing, as the look Pete gave me looked pretty threatening.

Met him at a house party when as Opposition Leader he came to Sydney in 1969 to compete in the Southern Cross Cup, which was held in conjunction with the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.

Norman Collier was mentioned earlier. He was a friend of my dad who met him on the Hull club circuit in the late fourties and he came to our house a couple of times.

Dad was a pianist /accompanyist and played for David Whitfield in his early days on the club circuit. He came to our house for rehearsals.
