Lets hope more players saw our great escape, it might put us in good stead for players to choose us over someone like Villa or Sunderland.

No need to spend time to try & learn English then.
I´m really hoping we build a strong prem team as of now. My only worry is, when you start to do well & you have really good players, other teams come in & nick em off ya. Or if we go down 90% go & it´s back to square one again. I have know doubt our owners have a very cunning plan mind.

This could happen - the rumour is that this signing is because Schlupp is leaving.

... really hope not cos he has a lot of potential and could double his price tag with another season like the last - we need to hold on to our bright young talent and develop it, not be selling it as soon as the sharks start to circle...

Think he'll only go if he wants out, Pearson isn't the sort of player to let fringe players leave until there are 2 good replacements for the same position.

It is possible that Schlupp could go and konch would get a new contract, but surely not imo.

I've not heard any rumors of a decent enough offer either, hes a first team player for us so i can't see us looking for less than double million figures.

NP - 'Swansea dont want you any more'.
Fuchs - 'OK, I will sign then'.

Killed a myth - Germans do have a sense of humour. As an aside, am actually surprised that ostrichgate made news in Germany.

I did wonder about this - did Schalke want to keep him or not? Seemed an amicable departure.

Literally now for **** sake. To quote the mercury

Meanwhile, Paul Konchesky is also staying with City, despite the club originally announcing his contract extension he signed in January, 2014, expired at the end of the 2014-15 season.

However, it has now emerged Konchesky has another year on his deal with City and will compete with new signing Christian Fuchs for the left-back berth.

Are you sure about this Proud? Every source I can find, including the Mercury when he signed the extension, says his contract expires on 30/06/15. Where did you hear this?

Just hope this doesn't mean that Schlupp is off, I'd love to see both him and Fuchs in a 4-4-2, would be a seriously attacking left-hand side!
