Who?? Is that the bird from the old west who ran with Buffalo Bill? Joking aside Killy, I was sure I had a ticket during the week until the asshole who promised it to me went & gave it to someone else. Not too bovvered tbh. Its a silly KO time & you can't get a drink before the game so there'll be no pre-match banter. My Blue Hustler subscription was cancelled last month due to complaints from the neighbours
England team:Hart,Jones,Cahill,Smalling,Bertrand,Henderson,Wilshere,Milner,Sterling,Rooney,Lallana.No Austin or Vardy!what a joke.
Republic: Westwood; Coleman, Wilson, O'Shea, Brady, McCarthy, Whelan, Hendrick, McGeady; Murphy, McGoldrick On paper, England should beat this team (if they treat it properly, and don't just stroll about like most friendlies)
I'm not surprised by the line up. Pretty sure both Chas and Vardy will get a game. I'd like to see us do well, but next week is the more important fixture (which I will be watching from a bar in either France or Spain)!!
Big Jack out on the pitch. He's looking well. As the anthems are about to be played I'm reminded of our very own Terry Mancini when he made his debut for Ireland. After the first anthem was played he said "Cor, I hope our anthem ain't as sh*t as that". The player beside him replied "That was our anthem Terry"
Rooney? Surprised that Austin doesn't start, but there will be loads of subs in the 2nd half I'm sure.
Can't find match on TV here but found a good video stream, although commentary is in French! http://www.stadium-live.biz/Channel16.html
How many International goals? Such a shame that the Irish fans still feel the need to boo and whistle the English National Anthem!!
Sterling's being booed. Don't know whether its the Liverpool or Man U faithful who are giving him the bird. Probably both.
