unfortunately Graham Taylor, much as we love him, doesn't seem to understand what is going on at Watford, which i find surprising tbh. Even Elton John backs what is going on and said the club has never been in better shape, what is so hard for GT to understand? It's not like the manager changes were because the owners wanted them to go..apart from Billy McKinley. I find his comments (and those on a clip i saw yesterday) to be a little bizarre!
Which clip was that H? I must admit that when I read that article I was sceptical that he had actually said what they reported. Even now I'm wondering whether he has simply been quoted out of context as it simply doesn't sound like something he would be likely to say.
TBH he just says we changed managers rather than saying we sacked them - which even people like Oli Phillips seem to think.
What I read seemed ok and I think he is just reflecting the continental way with managers / Head coaches i.e. rolling 1 year contracts ( I know not on this occasion) and he is not wrong. Our owners have shown ruthlessness in their dealings at this level and I'm also certain it will continue if they feel it necesscary - although obviously not to the unusual extent of last season. Lastly GT was a manager and probably would prefer that model to the Head coach model.
Can't see anything wrong in GT's comments. He did say "change" not "sacking" of manager and do any of us disagree that we hope for continuity going forward. LAst season was exceptional but I believe the Pozzos will change managers if they consider it in the best interest of the club.

It was on Sky Sport H. I saw it and was a mite surprised. But I put it down to some kind of managers Union type sentiment. By the way, has anyone seen today's Sun? apparently our new managers girlfriend is a bit of a looker. Well, what else would you expect the Sun to be reporting on!!!!!
