I did the sound for a local playwright one night at the old Hull Truck, Gary Kemp was there and we went on the pi ss with him afterwards
I was in the 1st band that ever played at Linnet for Mak, I then put him in touch with my mates band, who he then booked, those initial couple of bookings ended up turning into The Sesh I've got quite a few claims to fame ha ha
Last 3, 1. I've been out drinking with Johnny Vegas, ended up quite messy with me drinking a bottle of wine with a straw 2. Took Liam and Noel to Silhouette after their Adelphi gig. 3. My girlfriends mate was flat sharing with Harry Styles a couple of years ago
Met Andrea Corr at a club in Brighton and Sharon Corr ran at me like a wild bull because she thought I might harass her sister (female intuition). I couldn't find a pen to get their autographs and eventually they got bored and walked away.
The first 2 - pretty bloody good - but how is that last one a claim to fame for you?!? I can hear the sounds of barrels being scraped....
If you shared a flat with a pre-fame Harry Styles it wouldnt have even been impressive, but your girlfriend's mate......
Worked with Chris Evans for a day (he's a lot taller and thinner than you might think), worked with the wife of Kelly Jones from Stereophonics for a week and I didn't realise it was her at the time, spent time with TV presenter Laura Whitmore whilst on work experience, met Jarvis Cocker and the drummer from Arctic Monkeys. There's probably more!
I've met Mick Jagger. He gave me a lift in his car and we met up a few weeks later for a chat. I doubt I'm the only one in Hull that can make the same claim. He was often driving about Hull back in the day.
Yeah, it took me by surprise! Nice chap too and he knows a lot about Hull as his old producer on Radio 2 is originally from Anlaby.
So did he and does he? I'm on tenterhooks. To be fair Suited, you've given away quite a lot of info. You're clearly someone from the local music scene with at least reasonable success and the scene isnt that extensive so there's a good chance someone will put the pieces together.
Whilst I was at school I fancied a very attractive blonde girl. When I found out that her brother, Charlie Crickmore, played for Hull City it went from attraction to pure love. Unfortunately, she never even noticed me.
Nope he hasn't. Haven't really been involved in the scene for a fair few years so I'd doubt that I could be identified by that.
