He is pretty mad, he does the Viking reenactments and heads this group and they go all over Europe. Heart of gold though, he's a top top top top bloke He's the main Viking on the top picture on the Jorvik Viking Centre homepage. His beards a lot bigger now though.

He only lives round the corner from me, we went out for beers a couple of weekends ago and its funny as drunken strangers will always compliment him on his beard I have a couple of mates with impressive beards but his is the best These reenactments are good. Some of his gear cost a lot of cash, its good exercise as well with all the stuff on its dead heavy. Can be brutal though as well, some bad injuries happen
I think those drunken strangers could well be gay men mate I don't get reenactments tbh, a load of grown men dicking about in a field pretending to fight each other dressed in costume of whatever era they're interested in. ****ing odd. Each to their own though.
