The over paid prima donnas where hired, rewarded and used by the manager; I'm no apologist for the players but I do realise that a full seasons ****-ups could and should have been dealt with by the manager and his coaching team. By the way, we had one coke-sniffing mercenary and you are wrong to paint all of the players the same. You really don't have a Scooby do you?

Amusing that some of the fans are blaming the players and not the manager who persists in picking them or not changing it up. Brucey played 3-5-2 all season which didn't work half the time.

Bruce persisted with both Livermore and Huddlestone who were cack and should have been dropped. You can blame those two for not trying, well if thats the case, maybe don't play them both? Maybe leave one of them in and go with meyler and quinn or go 4-4-2. Maybe even try Huddlestone higher up the pitch instead of leaving him to sit in the centre circle. He has the vision and he has the shot.

As for the lack of squad depth, that is 1. Bruces fault 2. didn't he buy a million players at the start of the season to add squad depth for the europa league run which he then proceeded to throw. Do you seriously think the likes of Sunderland, Villa, Newcastle, and everyone else floating around in the bottom half have far better players?

With respect to viewing things in hindsight, that is the best opportunity to analyse what went wrong. The fact that you hull got relegated suggests something did go wrong as after your spending and having gotten another year in the league you would have expected (and indeed the expectations were there) a far higher placing that 18th.

This is pretty much spot on. You look at Villa and Sherwood. They looked totally different

2 Promotions, an FA Cup Final; European qualification
Perfect diplomacy and management of the club under trying circumstances
Paid back supporters' & owners loyalty

    vs

    1 relegation
often befuddling defensive-minded tactics & substitutions
    mixed bag in transfer market

Does Bruce deserve an other crack at the PL?

    Absolutely

It has to be said Villa improved so much they might now win the league next season but I dont think so.

Which was the last convincing performance we had until the 5-1 against Rotherham.

Pretty sure straight after beating Burnley we lost to some dross team, possibly Preston.

What has that got to do with SA's claim that we put in no convincing performances between beating Burnley 3-0 and the 5-1 win against Rotherham? Typical of you to not look at the post and just throw in more of your constant negativity.
