.. I do find these stories rather bizarre ... why would Ulloa be remotely interested in leaving us for the likes of Palace or indeed West Brom?

... now if it was Liverpool, Spurs etc perhaps ... but are we seriously expected to believe that he might fancy switching clubs of similar expectations in terms of premier league 'progression' but with owners who can't compete with ours for wealth whilst playing in front of smaller audiences in somewhat antiquated stadia?

    ... silly season indeed.

We got him for £10m and hes performed excellently, so should be looking for £20m at least. Wouldn't sell though as he gives us a good option up front if we need to pump it forward, he can have some good hold up play in games where we're under the cosh.

If they think that lump at Villa is worth 30 million + Ulloa has to be on the same platform.

Not happening as they will need to give us around £15M for him as we just signed him last season - can get the likes of Jordon Rhodes and change for that.

Can't imagine us selling unless it's for crazy money, and as much as I rate Ulloa, I don't think anyone will be offering us that.

Leo has proven he is capable of getting around 15 goals a season in this league. Had Albrighton been on form for the whole season I think Ulloa would have got as many as Charlie Austin

With the quality of Albrighton and Fuchs putting in crosses now hopefully Leo can bag a few more next season

Had Albrighton been given a chance all season I think you would be right!

Well Nigel Pearson didnt think he deserved a chance at that time and you have to trust the manager

You dont have to Proud. We all have differing opinions. Personally, I see more pluses than negatives, but I dont blindly agree with everything he says or does. Hopefully he is still learning and will continue to do so - just as we all do in our own line of work. I am an antiques dealer, selling art pottery and art glass. Something I deem to be beautiful may be ugly or a waste of space to someone else. No problem - we are all entitled to our opinions.

I dont get people who keep banging on about alrighton - whilst we had 4 at the back, which almost all teams do, our best player (mahrez) was ahead of him and our main threat so of course he wasnt playing.

While I agree you shouldn't blindly follow or trust anyone, I would also add that we do not know the full situation, and maybe never will. In those terms, to judge the manager either way on this issue is unfair. Judge him on his overall failures and successes - he's taken a side from League One to 14th in the Prem. Everything else is detail.

I agree with you to a point ... but Barwell, Jamba, Weller etc also make some very good points ... for Proud Nigel is the messiah but older heads are not so blinkered by adoration ... Nigel is by no means either perfect or the finished article - there are still questions to be asked ... the 'sacking' and reinstatement happened let's not forget .... and for pretty good reasons at the time ....

Stand back for a minute from the amazing escape ... because that was what it was ... there are questions as to why we did not play with the same attacking flair and abandon much earlier in the season ... by the time we did, it was partly down to being in the last chance saloon with little option - i.e if Nigel was to still be in a job ... let's not forget in the euphoria of the last 10 games that we had some extremely turgid performances during that overly long losing run ...and some of the team selections were both uninspiring and somewhat baffling in terms of the persistence with players out of form or ineffective at this level ...

Proud doesn't understand about people 'banging on' about Albrighton? ... I do ... he was superb during our escape act ... the balls that him and Schlupp were getting into the box were key elements to our escape ... were Konchesky and Simpson ever going to be able to provide those? ... not in my world ... so why did it take Nigel so long to realise this? ...

Nige rode his luck a bit and fair play to him ... Huth worked... Cambiasso inspired ... the wing-backs supplied the bullets ... Vardy put in the graft ... Nuge got injured in a warm-up ... whilst I joke about this, Leo then went on to bang in the goals ... would Nuge have? ... not unless he managed a transformation that has so far eluded him his whole career ... so the footballing Gods smiled on us a bit and fortune favoured the brave ... Nigel deserves the credit and accolades due ... but does a great escape guarantee managerial success in the longer term ... Gus Poyet would suggest not. Personally I don't believe Nigel would survive the managerial axe should we have another losing run like the one we had last season ... but footie is a journey and Nige is a relatively young manager ... I sincerely hope he has learnt from the mistakes he made this season ... because there certainly were some. If he has we can go on to have an even better season next time.

We don't know he wasn't on form because he wasn't being picked!!!!! I know, I know he wasn't performing in training.

We can go on all day about Albrighton, I don't know why NP would not pick him! He was mom against Villa and then he was dropped for the next game!
I know Mrs Albrighton was not unhappy when we all thought NP was a goner, read into that what you will. Mahrez is a good player but in all the games we could not score in, and needed something special, in my mind he did not deliver! Albrighton delivered, and I am glad that at last they are both playing well in a team that played well.
