McEnroe - Borg finals were the dog's bollocks, especially when McEnroe won <ok>

I always prefered Borg tbh, he played the game in a way that made it look effortless.

That's ****ing typical for a BS <laugh> Borg was an automaton. McEnroe had the most sublime touch I've ever seen - all with a wooden Dunlop <ok>

I used the same racket as a kid, then the larger HEAD rackets arrived and transformed the game.

So the current best in the World in Golf are better than Woods in his prime? Or Nicklaus? pfffft

Sprinters are the only one I'll give you as that's a sport of continual marginal gains, and the 'best' is not subjective it's definitive.

The rest you're talking out your hairy hole, as it's impossible to quantify due to changes in equipment etc.

mickleson, mcilroy, woods all there, very high standard out there right now.

as for changes in equipment.. if all footballers had to wear wellies and kick a heavy ball to qualify or if all tennis playes had to play with tiny little rackets with spongy guts that look more like lacrosse to qualify SUUUURRRE

oh now they don't hit it harder now in tennis, now they don't have a lot less time to play the tennis they play... no its not better than smapras slamming ace after ace dully to win wimbledon

hell i could even argue that our current muppets playing cricket are best of all time and all given the two records recently broken but that would be obviously false.

I'm never surprised when tobes your subjective is definite but anyone elses opinion is merely subjective... and wrong of course.

now back to what you ould falls were nattering on about.

do you hit hard serves or play sneaky and go for underarm serve to ensure they can't win on the return?

My comment about what was definitive as opposed to subjective in relation to sprintng was a matter of fact, not opinion <doh>

In fact it was YOU who was stating definitively (incorrectly) that all of the best sportsmen in the World were those of the present time, in Woods I've already given you one that completely dispells that myth, as his best is way behind him, and yet there's no-one currently who could hold a candle to the man of a decade ago.

Woods will be back this year :bandit: ... and mcilroy when he's not whining about being tired and bothers himself can smash any field you want.

the fact is RHC knows i'm on the wind so has ignored it but you've bitten... thanks for the jollies. i was rather bored seeing the mafia lot all gave up.

haha, I'm well on my way to finding out though :(

Funnily enough I blame my knee problems on the years of tennis that I played as a youngster mainly on hard and shale courts, wearing footwear of the day that was ****ing ****e in comparison to todays offerings.

Woods will never win another major, his years of drinking and potting pro's by the dozen have caught up with him

Never been the same since he lost his Dad.

He owes his Dad everything he has today, as he made him - literally.

    Same as the Williams sisters.
