I think all players are insured against career ending injuries, it's insurance against wages and fees for injured players that are less common.
Maybe. The only case I can think of off the top of my head is Dean Ashton, where a player got ****ed and the club received an insurance payout of about £5m, again off the top of my head. It'd be interesting to find out how much insurance cover costs for a footballer, I wonder if West Ham ended up spending a similar amount on insurance over his time there anyway.
Having just had a quick look into it, West Ham didn't even have insurance for Ashton, they made a compensation claim against the FA as the injury was suffered in training on international duty.
Not much different to on here then, tears of despair that Paul Mcbeckenbauer has left and mini Bruce is going to be a reserve
On official city web site Snodgrass, on course to return in time for new season, reports in the local media that he wont are untrue
It seems the story was indeed bollocks... Snodgrass Given Green Light To Step Up Rehab Contrary to reports in the local media, Robert Snodgrass has not suffered a setback and continues his rehabilitation following a serious knee injury sustained in the opening game of last season. Surgery to reconstruct knee ligaments and damage to the patella was expected to see the player require between 9 and 12 months rehabilitation. Both the surgeon and the Tigers’ medical staff are happy with progress so far and Robert has been given the green light to step up his rehab over the summer. Robert is now running under the guidance of the Club’s medical staff and continues his rehabilitation whilst the rest of the squad have a break over the summer. It is expected that Robert will start his pitch-based rehab when the squad meet up at the start of July for pre-season training, and whilst no set date has been put on his return to first team action it is hoped he will play a large part as the Tigers aim to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...tep-up-rehab-2481515.aspx#uVuL5z9rc6R82C6L.99
How bizarre. Mike White tweeting it as fact is an extraordinary move for a supposedly experienced journalist. How's he going to explain that one? He's guilty of trying to be first and look clever instead of the golden rule of waiting for the club to comment. That's someone's livelihood he's ****ing with there. What a twat.
Good to hear. If fit, he'll be a big part next season. He's too good for the Championship IMO. Mike White is a ****ing idiot sometimes.
Most of our squad is actually. Hence why the bookies have us a favs to win the championship. As for Mike White ? A lesson learned.
Humberside just tweeter the city statement then put a little dig at the end saying "but city aren't saying when he'll be back" for Christ sake RH admit it for once you got it wrong.
This thread header needs a change to something more upto date. Snodgrass given the ok to step his training maybe ?
Mike White is remarkably standing by it. He calls his source "trusted" so he's basically saying City's media team are not to be trusted. The next press conference should be very interesting.
