As with last season, he is only defensive to that degree when playing the top sides, Real didn't have to be defensive playing Getafe and the like.
Playing Barca Jose had his players kick the ****e out of them <laugh>

Rafa do not like his team to concede many goals, I think Real Madrid are going to be draw specialist
    which may count against Rafa.

I have it on good authority that Rafa will come in for Sterling and will offer Isco as an incentive plus cash.

Gonzo's 'voices' are probably more reliable than RHC's reporter mate <whistle> :bandit:

Fergie won nothing in his first 3 years at OT.

Fergie got Acelotti time+1 before he won anything at OT.

    Sometimes patience pays off.

Don't understand the 'superstars won't like Rafa' line. Bale works very hard for the team, as do them all tbh its only Ronaldo who's asked not to work so hard defensively, but who can blame a team for setting up that way?

Rafa plays a 4-2-3-1, I personally think he will sell Benzema, play Ronaldo as a striker (his injuries last season show he's can't play a explosive winger all the time) and sign a young but potential striker, or someone who's more than happy to sit on the bench (Falcao?)

A new winger will be needed and maybe a full back. Will Man U sell De Gea to a team run by Rafa? Who knows.

I hope he succeeds, takes Sterling off us for £50 million and allows us to buy a couple off quality players of them.

However, I'm not sure his style of management suits the attack minded one of Real and they may lose patience quickly.

Given a few years he would take out Barca imo if he has Real's full support.

I do think it genuinely could open up opportunities for us.

Rafa is still a fan and we could at least pinch a few guys on loan.

  16. I don't. He won't have much say in transfer there and even if he did, he won't let sentiment get in the way. A sentimental man doesn't drop Gerrard in the derby <laugh>

its this simple... if he finishes second again which is the worst he'd be able to excuse then he'll get another year. He knows who to organise a team...

its this simple all the bitters are knocking him... but they forget one key thing. serious amount of talent at real. IF they play for the club as the fans they will boo them off after 20mins if they dont then if he just organises a back 5 the rest takes care of itself.

i can't see him lasting 3 years but...
