    55% have been relegated JK, not stayed up, but it is still more than I would have guessed.

    That graph, or the accompanying input is wrong. Only 10 out of the last 20 have been relegated first season. Palace and Watford both finished 17th. So it is 50% survival.

    The whole bottom half of the PL is a lottery. I don't think Saints or Swansea can be complacent about their positions long term either but I hope they continue to inspire other smaller clubs outside the dominant 6 or 7 that it's possible to compete, and not simply play to survive in the PL.

    Time for the European Super League to get started, give us "lesser" clubs a chance to win the PL.

    Nooo definitely not, I want my club to play against the best every week. If there were a 'Super League' with no promotion or relegation I'd hate it.

    GE's right - it's exactly 50%.

    And I don't think the diffence between 50% and 57.6% is statistically significant. Basically, if you get promoted, you have a one in two chance of staying up.
