Steady or he'll put you on ignore, and then reply to all of your posts, guess what you're saying, get it totally wrong, laugh manically, accuse you of stalking him and then call you a **** after he's sneaked a peek.

I dunno. I don't think anyone cares about a manager getting sacked from Real.

They seem to land on their feet afterwards. Capello got the England job, Queiroz managed Portugal, Pellegrini got Man City, Juande Ramos went to CSKA Moscow etc.

Capello won a league title twice with Real (2 different stints). He's also regarded as a bloody good manager. The rest though have all disappeared into the ether. Also, Rafa's been in decline in terms of job opportunities over the last 5 years. The chelsea job was interim, he then went 2 yrs without a job, disappointed at Inter, and Napoli was hardly an upwardly mobile step. He could end up at a CSKA Moscow type club but that's him on his way out then.

Is winning Prem titles with Citeh really considered to be 'disappearing into the ether' <whistle>

Pelligrini is the exception to the rule. There's always one. If he actually managed a top club with any soul rather than a manufactured team of mercenaries then he would prove to be a very good manager tbf.

Would you take him at Utd, if Van Gaal were to leave?

I think he'll piss off Real's mega stars and they'll get him sack within 12 months.

In fact, if things work out right, Benitez could be back at 'Pool come the New Year.

Can't see how he would, Utd are now a manufactured team of mercenaries.

I've always rated him and would have him as manager at United. He fcked up taking the City job. If you see what he's capable of, best to do it based on Villareal ana Malaga (clubs with players who played for him).

Neither are City tbf, they just won the lottery when the oil sheikh bought them, they still play in Manchester and they're still the same club Summerbee, Bell and Lee etc played for.

They were a nothing club who were going nowhere. The club now is completely detached to the City of Summerbee and Bell. Basically a rich Sheikh took over a club with zero propects and then bought a ready made team of superstars to fill it. If that isnt manufactured I dont know what is.

It suited Utd when City were run by Swales and Lee etc and were nobody's in Manchester for a long time, just like the butchers son bit Malcolm Glazers hand off when he offered to buy Utd City's shareholders took the Sheikhs money, can't see much difference to be fair Trebs.

Would have been much more entertaining if Michael Knghton would have pulled off his audacious attempt to buy Utd or Robert Maxwell, Utd weren't always mega-rich but you can't blame Edwards taking the dosh that was offered.

Managers dont stay in jobs for long outside of the UK. 3 years is basically Alex Ferguson time in Spain.

Rafa is inheriting star players Bale, Ronaldo etc, whether he can manage them and make every one happy is another thing.
He won the league with Velencia I cannot see why he cannot do it with Real Madrid .I am sure he's aware of the pressure and challenges ahead of him.

For once Rafa will have the personnel to deploy on his tactics to stop Barca from playing. It won't be the ugly, fouling method deployed by Mourinho

    - I hope ;)

I read on a Spanish magazine site that Rafa will revamp the academy at Real just like what he did for Liverpool. It'll be a long term project - which may come to fruition after he's gone from the job due to the nature of Real Madrid. He's a loyal Real person. None of his predecessors gave a monkeys regarding bringing the youth through (OK there's Isco but not much more). He could win over the grass roots fans if he brings some youth through. However, do Real have enough grass roots fans who'll support the young lads through thick and thin?

To think, we got rid of Rafa and brought in Hodgson.

Purslow and Ayre are responsible for the demise of this club.
