    Back to the topic, Rafa is gonna have to have one hell of a charming meeting saying all the right things when he meets the team. Could be that Rafa might be the best chance United have of getting Ronney back. That would be funny <laugh> Players wanted Carlo to stay but I doubt we'll see a Chelsea AVB situation unless the season starts badly, if it does he could be gone in months. He can't afford to win 5 draw 3 and lose 2 in his first 10 games like, if that happens he's a gonner
    He'd have to win 9 of his first 10 to win people over

    Bizarre appointment that's bound to end in disaster. He will upset the massive egos in the dressing room and boardroom while his style of football will be hated unless he wins everything. I can only assume there is a deal in place to bring another manager in for the 2016/17 season and Rafa is just an interim manager.

    It's an opinion and it fits in with the opinion of most people who don't support Liverpool. Certainly more informed than yours but still just an opinion nonetheless. It's what makes these message boards tick, as opposed to the hateful abuse you hurl at anyone who doesn't agree with you.

    Rafa took an underperforming Chelsea team to a Champs league spot and a Euro pot. He'll do well with Real.
    I personally think he'll only last two years cos that's how Real Madrid work,
    Ancelotti lasted 1 year after winning the Champions League and Del Bosque won 2 Champions Leagues in 3 years and they sacked him a year later (after they had just won the League).
    I think 2 years is about right.

    Ppl dont realise this is make or break for Rafa. There are tenuous reasons why he's got this job (otherwise he wouldnt have tbh) and if he fails here then it's the final death knell in him managing a top club again.

    I don't think he'll last more than a season for various reasons but tbf to him I dont see him being as defensive as ppl think. Heck, even Mourhino wasn't as defensive at Real as ppl make out. Somewhat of an urban myth imo.

    I dont see Kroos being in his plans but I could be wrong. Instead I see him bringing in a quality DM playing alongside Modric. In front of them Isco and in front of him playing Jese. I see him giving them 2 some proper game time next season. That means the likes of Benzema and James and Kroos may not be too happy. Anyway that's how I see it.
