The objective signs have been there all along: our performances were the reverse of the previous season :

    - poor against top teams
    - inconsistency against weaker teams
    - not able to win a crucial match in the leagues or cups when the pressure is on.

The first few matches will tell us whether we've improved.

Ruining us as a club and identity, we are now the Tottenham of the north west. Nobody wants to join us, we will lose Sterling and probably Coutinho next year. Can will still be playing at the back and our strikeforce of Origi, Ings and an injured Sturridge will be Stoke-esque.

Surprised you didn't go for MaClaren. He's free after being sacked by Middlesbro.

He could do well for them, he has managed a league title winning team, won the league cup and managed the national team. Very experienced and learnt from the best.

vieira has no experience or track record. that coudl be a huge error... remember tony adams career

mcclaren had to loan in players for derby. that says a bit of a lack of resources... middlesboro did the same and filed i nthe end too.

McClaren isn't great to be honest.... ut he is safer bet.

the reality is newcastle must buy real strikers thats why they fell down the league... no goals.

Ending the loan spell of Jordan Ibe was not helpful to Derby.

certinaly not... and the prior year it was wisdom and they got to play offs.

my question is what on earth derby expected to happen?

There are a lot of good clubs in the championship all of a similar level but when they come up they need a lot of change to survive.

Steve McClaren ballsed it up when he tried to change the team far too much after xmas.

He had a good system and players were playing well. Then he signed a few players who all had a poor impact on the team bar Ince to some extent, but then he dropped some key players as well.

    Strange management.
