Of all the players to leave, I feel this will be the most painful of recent times. Watching Morgan grow with us, to become one of the most accomplished Midfielders around has been such a pleasure. Seeing him start for France, & not just fit in but stand out was such a proud moment, similar to that of Rickie. If ever a player has earned his move & all the success that I'm sure will follow, it is Morgan Schneiderlin. £25M seems far to cheap, but that's for another day. Cough 50% sell on please Les, cough*
And chicharito and that would make it better. I'd much rather he go to Arsenal for a bit less than go to manure.
£25m sounds cheap to me even with only 1yr left. The top 4 throw £30m+ around like confetti and there r not many better than Morgan in his position.
It's rather sad to realise pretty soon that very few players (apart from the kids) will remember the excitement and joy of our promotion years. It will put a bit more distance between the fans and the players as we lose the shared memory. Inevitable, but sad.
FLT, you are charged with excessive re-cycling of an old joke. Do you plead guilty or must evidence be bought forward? Back to our French feller. Once the signature is dry, can we please have a simple "Thanks Morgan" thread that refers only to the contribution he has made.
Guilty as charged your Honour... and proud. That gag can never be re-cycled enough. I like the idea of the thank you thread for Morgan.
According to the mass media on NewsNow, last week Snidders was deal done to Arsenal, then yesterday it was Manure and now today both have alternatives that are better and cheaper IMHO the implications are that £25m is too expensive......I am so glad that these wonder managers are so short sighted
I'm hoping that every time a team agrees to meet our price, we just raise the price. If you have to ask the price, you can't afford him!!
Thank goodness the little blighter is off. The very lovely Mrs Godders may at last stop moaning his name in her sleep at night. When we recruit players there are two additional criteria I wish to be added into that black box software thingy - 1. only sign ugly players and 2. NO French players with their bloody sexy accent driving our women wild with lust. (There you go PL acquire a French accent and you'll be made just don't come round to my house that's all).
If both Man U and Arsenal want him, they can only serve to raise his price. It's a disappointment to lose Morgan, but if he's going to go we might as well get top money for him.
Whilst I will gladly wish him all the best and thank him for services rendered, I will reserve the right to spit the dummy should Morgan leave us for either Spurs or Liverpool. In fact if he has to go, I hope he goes abroad.
