Went last year fella. Centre court. Good trip but so frickin expensive in there (obvs). One drink cost about the same as a week's wages in Warrington. Was glad I had me packed buttys an haribos an that

I was there on security when I was in The RAF, so it was all free for the entire thing. Watched Sampras and Agassi play, really good experience.

Nadal fighting back after a truly awful start to this set, had two break points for the double break back on Djokos serve but it's gone to deuce, Nadal needs another 2 bites at the Djoko serve cherry and converts to make it 3-4

Sampras is a ledge, was a top top player, would've loved to see him up close in his prime

I was more an Agassi fan but it was good seeing both as well as others. I was a bit sick of it by the end though I'd been there 2 weeks solid.

Agassi was good too but didn't have Pete's finesse or as good shots imo, Samps was just quality all over, great serve, great groundstrokes, great volleys.

It gets really busy there so I can imagine two weeks of it is tiresome and there's not really much of interest there apart from the tennis!!

So would you have been one of the guys standing courtside or did you job all over the grounds??

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, 24, has been keeping himself fit on holiday in Italy by playing in a game of beach football. (Daily Mail)

Explains why he always look like he's running in sand.

:laugh:I got Metro this morning (London Free paper obtainable at Tube Station) Headline was okay.
I was coming back home when I saw the headline " BBC reporter claimed the Queen is dead"
I thought I was seeing double. It has already been corrected. Foolish reporter !:lipsrsealed:.

Sampras was ****ing boring to watch most of the time. He was a slugger in the main.

The Connors / Borg era was the best period for tennis imo, the equipment meant that it was less about power and more about technique and speed of thought.

Yeah, of course he caught the back end of that era, I wasn't leaving him out, as he was obviously part of it <laugh>
