Yeah I tried that with Oblivion. I still loved it but it was hard to get use after playing Skyrim first. **** me it was dark though. Poor Lucien lachance:emoticon-0106-cryin That really, really pissed me off

I'd never played a game like Skyrim before Skyrim, with dragons and stuff, I actually got it as a present, about a year before I put it into my 360, I just wasn't interested in it. Took me a while to get into it but I'm glad I persevered with it, ever since that I've been scratching around for something similar to play. DA: Inquisition was a let down for me, but TW3 looks bang on.

Feels a bit like a guilty pleasure, I've only ever really enjoyed shooters and sports games up til recently.

Don't mis-read the above - old games are brilliant, if you've not played them before. Skyrim is set apart by production values, unbelievable graphics, and such, but I would STRONGLY recommend Mass Effect 2 and 3, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic 1 and 2, and the second Witcher.

Played ME 3 and it was one of the worst games I've played, too much story line and bullshit. FO3 I never played really, but I loved New Vegas. Star Wars I'd rather stick my head in a nutri-bullet than bother with anything to do with that crap. To each their own brother.

There are huge on-going total remakes/mods of Morrowind ( which was HUGE! 4/5/6 times the landscape to get lost in...best of all the elder scrolls imho ...dark /tough quests /no hand holding etcetc) and Oblivion using the Skyrim engine ....Skywind

(not released yet but ..close) For those that want to try an older game ...updated

PC only I am afraid chaps.

looks a bit...clean. graphics look odd. There are moments though such as when you see the deathclaw (which looks amazing) where its a lot murkier

I think it looks great personally mate. Then again it could be me simply marking out as a Fallout deviant.

It looks great man, ive watched the trailer probably ten or so times and my anticipation grows with each one. Keep picking up on little details. Looks like it will please those who complained that fallout 3 was too drab and that NV was too sparse (neither bothered me, pretty much the opposite)

i like how they included a lot of in game shots too. Im hoping its not a speaking protagonist, though Im guessing the guy in the trailers was just some generic character.

hopefully it has a great story and all that other weirdness that made the last two so great. oh and the radio broadcast reporting that the bombs are dropping is just chilling. great teaser ayway

Fallout 4 due out in 5 days.

For anybody buying it, if you pre-order it online or for delivery you'll get a free download code for Fallout 3 on XBox One. They're making a load of 360 games backwards compatible, the list is due out on the 10th of the first 100 backwards compatible games.

See I'm so tempted to pre-order this on the PC but I've been burned too many times by bad PC releases on pre-orders that I won't do it any more.
Also the DLC season pass is an extra £25? Think I'll just hold off and get the inevitable game of the year edition whenever that comes out.
Let's face it, it's not as if my steam library is empty after the number of steam sales I've been through!

WTF is a season pass? I'm not into online gaming but I guess it's related to that... I only play Fifa online.

A season pass is a way to get all the additional downloadable content for the game that they will release during the games lifecycle. So additional missions, map areas, storylines etc as well as multiplayer components such as new weapons

The idea behind buying the season pass is it will be cheaper than buying the individual DLC's separately

    Depends what platform.

Think the PC version is much cheaper but the cheapest big retailer who has it on XB1 or PS4 is Game and delivery is free.

Tesco also offer pre-order but think they charge a couple of quid more plus delivery.

Green Man Gaming have a 20% off voucher on their site which will allow you to Pre-order it on PC for £32 (£8 off) if you want the season pass as well then it's £52 (£13 off)
