If McClaren comes in and most importantly, we cleanse all the current staff, then I will get behind the guy but we all know the three ****s will still be here, doing their job in the most appalling fashion and poor Steve won't have a chance from the off.

I am assuming you saw Wolfsburg play the season he was sacked. Players were ignoring his team instructions and he was sacked in February, several months into the job. They had just sold Dzeko to Man City for £37 million and McClaren re-invested the money on several poor signings. That coupled with negative tactics led to him being sacked.

Robson wasn't sacked purely on results or performances. The 'board' were thinking about sacking the previous season [when we finished 5th]. It's well documented that they thought he was too old with the Halls advising Freddie Shepherd that they felt he was out of touch with the younger players and not controlling them enough. The bad start to the season was used as an excuse to get rid. Robson was unjustifiably sacked. McClaren - He was awful and completely out of his depth.

Can't say I watched much of Wolfsburg under McClaren, but 21 games for a manager in a new job and new country simply isn't long enough. And it's highly unfair to judge a manager over a period of just 9 months.

Solano, Debuchy, Colo, Enrique are all an example of this. If we'd have got rid of them given their awful performances in their first year with the club it would have been a huge mistake.

It applies equally to managers, I'm not saying he would have succeeded at Wolfsburg if given time, just that the time he was given wasn't enough to judge him.

I agree that sacking managers without giving them a proper chance is stupid. Far too many clubs do it. I don't like McClaren one bit, but if he is the manager then so be it. At least it's not Carver. He was shocking at Wolfsburg, but credit where it's due, he was fantastic with Twente. To break the Ajax/ PSV/ Feyenoord stranglehold is impressive. But, I think he's a bit like Brian Kidd. A terrific tracksuit coach, just not a 'manager.'

McClaren's not terrible, but he's far from adequate. The problem is basically that he is a finger up at us, personally, from Ashley - I just won't be abused by him and Charnley any more, I have more self worth than that and I'm just not interested enough.

    NUFC - 1892 - 2008.

I enjoyed my run, had real ups and downs, but for me it's done. Not because McClaren is a horrible person, but that he is extremely low ball and shows up Ashley as an abject, flat-out liar. No questions, no more chances, it's firmly done because if he's going to bother to stand there on television and lie to every single one of us given the desperation of that situation, he is ALWAYS going to lie and as I say it's just not worth it. How can he bother me if I'm just not listening. He's a bully, a corporate one, so fck him, I have great things in life and the air is infinitely cleaner when Mike Ashley FC are not in it.

On Carver yes but the great Alan Pardew. That man had a stellar record under very difficult circumstances. He's an all time great and up there with Sir Bob.

Could be worse, we could just stick with Willo, Colo and Saylor. Those three ****s have been ****ing awful. Now I realise you'll start making excuses for Colo as you always do like "its playing alongside Willo or Saylor" but that's just weak ass cock kissing stupidity.

He's better than Caulker, that's for sure.

I may make excuses for Colo but in the same way you make excuses for British cloggers and jobbers.

Not on last seasons performance he isn't. He'd have looked right at home alongside him in QPR's defence.

Give me an English clogger like Shawcross over Colo any day of the week. At least you know he'll try.

Yeah yeah, but he could easily come here and be complete dogshit.

Please stop this Caulker ****ing. He has been relegated twice and I saw with my own eyes not just Shola but Altidore run rings around him. More overrated ****e who gets a constant pass because he is 'English'.
