Thanks everyone! I've enjoyed it but like Elle says it became really time consuming and I'm working too many hours these days to be able to commit to being able to do this every week.
So how do people feel about doing a MOM for a our preseason? The games won't be on TV but if enough people are going to attend and are interested I'll start the thread after each game. We can do a separate mom preseason player award that way it doesn't influence our regular mom player for the season. First game is in 2 weeks if I am correct.
I wouldn't bother with pre-seasons ellewoods, they're just training games, everyone just avoids injuries and half the team changes at half time.
I'm off out to buy my flame ******ant underwear as we speak. I've already got my miner's helmet. ..where can I buy a bullet-proof vest I wonder ?
Well done Davies Headband - make sure you find time to at least submit entries to the Predictions thread next season.
I don't want to intrude elle, but... I think it might be a decent idea just to get used to your way of posting & counting the thread so you aren't going in cold with 3 games in a week.
Good suggestion - a trial run using the preseason games may hone the process - based on my experience with the effort required for the predictions thread reporting. elle, suggest you INSIST that the first 3 lines of a post shows 1-name 1, 2-name 2, 3-name 3. You won't have to bother with reading the rest of the commentary submitted with the ratings. May save you time.
Exactly. When the MOM threads first came about I tried 4 or 5 different ways before I settled on one I was happy with. I'm sure ellewoods will be a different kind of guy to me, so naturally he'll work differently. Pre season seems the perfect time to try a few different methods behind the scenes and see what works so it's up and running in august
Yes - well done DH. I don't have the time to do much on these boards apart from read the comments, call That Leicester twat a twat and disagree with every post Happy has written (apart from one from memory) It's a lot of time and effort - nice one!!!
