Yeah baby. I'll be in the Witcher 3 first, giving it time to go sub twenty quid. But Fallout is utterly epic. New Vegas with that crazy fcking robot was nuts.

I haven't played The Witcher 3 for about a week. Now, have I made a mistake or are there no enormous sea monsters in the game (**** the whales)?

If so, it really is ****ty and a waste. No doubt there it will be in DLC but I would have still liked some Kraken/Sea Serpent/other bullshit smashing my boat to pieces.

Havent played witcher 3 but very much agree, i was looking at sea creature mods for skyrim the other day. Seems a waste that they would include a boat and have no sense of lurking danger at all from under the sea.

There was a masterbrain easter egg in the teaser

Before I buy an Xbox One I'm playing through all the classic xbox360 games now they're cheap. Playing fallout 3 now, finding it a lot harder than Skyrim because the weapons are more ineffective, there's **** all ammo available, I'm not at a high enough level to have decent armour, and bandits seem to be near those massive super-mutants carrying the miniguns <wah>

Enjoy that struggle JPF, a big complaint i hear about fallout 3 is that you can become overpowered too quickly. Thats something i didnt particularly notice though, i think i whacked the difficulty up a bit, and i probably wasnt picking the most effective perks and stats so that probably levelled it out a touch.

Its at it best when you are really struggling to survive though, such a great atmosphere.

This is the way I prefer to play Fallout/skyrim/oblivion etc ...Mod the hell out of them adding in Food/Sleep needs, Extra Bad guys, Dark nights, weather, weapons , remove the leveling of enemies so you can wander into areas that are way overpowered and have to high tail it out (if you can) ..

Mod it till you break it ..then back of a little

(edit ..seems the right thread to ask...Whats the Witcher 3' s combat system like...I never liked the 1st 2 because of that...Liked everything else about them but never was happy with the combat so stopped playing pretty sharp-ish ....W3 similar/same to W1/2combat wise?)

The early parts of the game are terrifying. Going down into the sewers with a bat and a hunting rifle with around 5 bullets will bring death on swift wings. The first time a mirelurker launched itself out of some stagnant pool out me I damn near **** my pants. Coming across the Talon Company ****ers near some burnt out diner, annoyingly killing me everytime even after I have missled them to hell. Coming across random battles with Raiders, Super Mutants, Brotherhood of steel, etc Wanting to murder Three dog talking bullshit on Galaxy news radio and also being slightly aroused by Malcolm McDowell's sexy voice as 'your President, John Henry Eden'.

The game is just amazing. I feel I might have to start a new game of it soon.

Was talking about Fallout 3 yesterday. Go to Megaton. Do not pass go. Do not collect £200. Go to Megaton.

That's the best advice you can get, because you dearly need those straightforward missions. And go slow.

The reason why I want to start a new game is because I have some unfinished business with Megaton as I never choose the 'other' path.

ah , you pc owning bastards, that all sounds amazing. Im hoping we get a 'survival mode' in the standard game so they incorporate needing food and water etc, also things like a backpack and limited weapon and ammo spots. At least an option for that anyway... if they dont want to seem like they are sucking the fun out of it.

Still a bit pissed off that all you got for completing NV on hardcore was just a trophy though.

Havent played witcher but from what ive seen combat looks the same, ive seen a few complaints about it.

Never played the first two, but bought W3 last weekend, combat system is very good in my opinion. Loads better than Dragonage Inquisition, to me it feels a bit Red Dead Redemption meets Skyrim.

I can already tell it's gonna be the benchmark RPG from herein out, the Elder Scrolls Online couldn't have picked a worse time to release on console imo, it'll flop like a Brendan Rodgers panic buy.

Trying to stealthily cross the wasteland then turn a corner and run into a deathclaw or a behemoth, theres truly nothing better. Even just spotting one in the distance will freeze your bones...... and the tunnels and the vaults and the ghouls and the wind whistling through the emptiness....jesus christ i need this game. Hopefully we get a large amount of explorable interiors too.

Can anyone summarise what this thread is about please as I thought fallout was the amount of fat rolls which hang over the top of Obi's waistband.

its the video game version of a supporters mindscape when it comes to supporting NUFC...futile, desolate and frightening but with just enough light at the the end of the tunnel to keep you trudging and battling on

You should play the first two. The first is an entirely different experience, it's more "top down" than first-person. The second then just turns it up a notch. Both are cheap as a Mike Ashley sized portion of chips on GOG.

Seems right about benchmark RPG, though Fallout 4 will take it.

I do love Skyrim though. There is something truly special about that game. The soundtrack is perfection.

Now The Witcher's soundtrack is very hit and miss. Too much irritating female wailing going on that sounds like a cat being swung around the kitchen.

Never been a fan of going back to pick up games that are years old mate, I tried that with Oblivion after Skyrim and felt it was a bit pointless so ditched it after about an hour.

The only games I have revisited are GTA5, Sensible Soccer and Goldeneye, out of the 3 only GTA5 was worth it and that's only because it was the next gen upgrade.
