I quite like Rodgers even though he butchered the reds defence last season, and I feel he was hamstrung by losing 70-80 goals from Sturridge and Suarez, plus the movement and threat they offered, then it was difficult to replace, and once he realised how **** Ballotelli was and how little movement he offered in comparison to the above two, then he needed to drastically change the way they played.

I do laugh when I remember people saying that Rodgers and Martinez were better than Wenger because they had one good season, but I don't think Rodgers is the worst manager out there, and I think Liverpool will improve greatly once they sign a decent striker and Milner.

You can add Fat Sam,Martin O'Neill & David Moyes to the list of managers who some fans said were better than Arsene Wenger

Rodgers isn't as bad as people make out, but he has been very naive with his tactics at times and, like Wenger, can take too long to make changes to his side when things aren't going the way he wants. In addition to this, he has made some very poor judgments, particularly in the transfer market. He's had so much money to spend in the last two seasons and the majority of it has been spunked up the wall. He knew Suarez was going and had ages to try and identify the targets he wanted. I know in some respects that wasn't in his hands, but he also didn't help himself when he bought all these youth players for inflated prices. Liverpool's defence was their downfall in the 2013-14 season and it was the same case in the season that just went by. He did nothing to help their defence become more cohesive. And he struggled to motivate his players for the final few games of the season. Getting outplayed at home to Palace on Gerrard's last Anfield appearance and then conceding 6 to Stoke City is humiliating. Yes the players deserve to be castigated for their role in that capitulation, but the manager needed to inspire his players and he failed to do so. Would a result like that have occurred under Mourinho? I doubt it.

His league finishes since he's been at the club have been 7th, 2nd and 6th, winning nothing and spending excessive amounts of money in the process. I just get the feeling that this will be last chance saloon for Rodgers now. He has to at least get into the Champions League this season else he's gone IMO.

I agree with pretty much all of that, especially his signings - for every courtinho there's a balotelli, moreno, aspas and the amount spent on the defence for it not to improve is very poor.

Survey showing how unsatisfying it is for fans at all the other big clubs' grounds compared to ours. I don't quite get topspot though... can anyone really, truly ever be satisfied by being in Hull?!

    1. Hull City 7.79,
    2. Southampton 7.23,
    3. Stoke City 6.94,

    7. Swansea City 6.72,
    8. Newcastle United 6.68,
    9. WBA 6.63,
    10. Manchester City 6.53,

I think it is true to say Hull are very accommodating to away fans. When we played them this season it was either David Rocastle's birthday or the anniversary of his death and all the Hull staff at the concessions wore Arsenal shirts with Rocastle 7 on the back.I know Burnley don't score high on that list but when we played them away our coaches were met by a steward who advised us of the best pubs to go to,places for food etc.

Is this satisfaction of all fans, or just home fans or the away fans?

If it's home fans then it seems strange that Chelsea are so low, considering their successful year - though maybe they are tired of Mourinho's ranting and the boring football...

In the same way I could maybe understand Stoke and Hull being happy, with enjoying prem football, being competitive in most games (even if Hull lost more than Stoke) and making a number of signings.

Sunderland is a bit weird though!

I just realised that I've probably taken that totally the wrong way, and it's more to do with satisfaction with how your treated in the ground!

Agreed. Makes me laugh, 2 Seasons ago the Wenger haters were calling Rodgers the better manager.

Rodgers teams play football like its 1995. Can be fun to watch when it works but mostly its extremely basic and outdated.

So Liverpool have made two signings, Milner-not bad, and Inggs- who will turn out to be another below average striker for them. If I was a Pool fan, I wouldn't be too happy with what I've seen so far.

Couldn't agree more, I figured seeing as Rogers was under pressure, he'd want to sign a striker with a track record of performing at the top level, and also (if possible) a big name who could attract other players, reassure the fans and motivate the players. Instead he takes another punt on a small time player after other punts on Lambert, Lallana and Lovern failed miserably.

I think Milner will work out really well for them though, but they've got big problems upfront and in defence...
