I'd say that if they found the vampire they should share that information somehow. If the vampire isn't lynched then they will be targetted by one of the killers anyway. however, there is still a serial killer and three mafia to catch too.
That's not what I said I believe MITO would PM the detective and chosen person with the investigation results. It is up to the detective and selected person what they do with that info and how they feed it into the group should they chose to.

If I were a baddie and I had received information, I'd be looking to use it to try and figure out who the detective is so I don't believe any information was passed out. In that case, it means one of two things: - the person investigated by the detective died - the person the information was meant to go to died

Well they could if they want to die since if they did that, the mafia, vampire and/or serial killer will target them. Good sacrifice if all three went for him since town would only lose one rather than three
You are allowed to share the information, you can't provide a screenshot as proof, you have to type it yourself. Therefore, you could be lying since all of us could claim to be ordinary townspeople which is obviously impossible.

The detective and the person receiving the message can share it. Thats blatantly obvious. Whether the people sharing it can convince the others they are not lying (and not get targetted if you are the detective) is another matter
