Someone tells him via private board that people are getting suspicious so he appears with an excuse as to why he's not been around. Timing is a big coincidence or foul play is at large. Yes, said 3 or 4 times I want quiet ones in there and listed ACS, valley, mikey, and to a lesser extent magic and Lucas in the toss. As as no one was listening to change to mikey wig me, thought I'd change to ACS as he already had 1 vote. No no point keep putting same active people under pressure, get the quiet ones in there and see what reaction it brings. Magic has already 'magically' appeared afte being questioned...
I agree, I think the votes for afc are wasted, if there's going to be a tie between Valley and AN other, it should be with mikey, ACS, Magic or Lucas imo.
See this is why I'm always promoting looking at what people put forward rather than how much they put forward. Those who've been in the two games I've played in, including you IBWT, should know my play-style by now... I don't make posts for the sake of it, I'm only going to try and direct things if there is no conversation, if I'm proven or if I have a strong direction I believe I can take town in. I observe, note, and then put my thoughts out there. So yeah, I've been quiet in terms of volume of posts, but I've probably put out as many actual strong game-related opinions and ideas as anybody thus far. It's about content of posts not quantity of posts. For me, the following have not put anything forward or tried to provide information for town: Valley (even when he's been active, not done anything), ACS (Mainly just inactive though), Billy (Went off on a bit of a bender with afc at one stage and pressured Lucaaas but not much else), Tobes (Done literally nothing but put out three easy votes, Bod, AFC and then an instant piggyback of Bod's suggestion of Valley), Gerrez (Playing a reserved game, has participated and looked for answers without trying to provide any himself). And obviously there's bloody Magic. As it stands, not against putting ACS into the vote with Valley and afc, though I don't think afc should be in there at this stage unless others are reading him very differently to me.

Actually it might be worth saying now having re-read the OP. The detectives information will have been given to someone playing, that person has chosen not to reveal that info to the group, which suggests it was a bad guy who found something out rather than a town player. Whoever the detective is should be very wary of whoever they chose to receive the info.
