My point is it I don't think he has the basic football abilities at either level it just my opinion. I don't like him as a player and I think his attitude stinks. Saying that given what you guys have posted he must have something I'm missing and had something you all saw in the championship with I didn't so I'm clearly wrong about his championship ability i hope it shows next season so I can eat my words and be proved completely wrong. I'm not trying to be a dick at all I said see you in six months because only time will tell. White flag raised guys
Don't see that happening. Only next seasons strugglers will be interested and certainly won't offer the going rate.
There's a video of our goals from our promotion season, if you missed seeing him in that season I suggest you watch it, he was really, really good. He didn't look as good in the Premier League but as has already been said, some players struggle to make the step up; Halmosi was another that looked a world beater in the Championship and was terrible in the PL. And I'm struggling to understand why people think Aluko is a poor striker, he never has been, even in our promotion season he was played behind Jay Simpson, he's a forward, there's a huge difference. And Roo, I can kind of see where you're coming from regarding the selfishness element, but I don't see it as a massive problem, he's good enough to create his own chances and that's the kind of player he is. Most of the time there wasn't anybody in a decent position for him to pass to anyway. You said he won't play behind anybody, yet he spent most of the promotion season playing behind Jay Simpson in a 3-5-1-1.
Prozzy's is best. The Aluko goals are great, particularly the Bristol one (where he shows off his 'selfishness'). The Koren goal probably would have been noticed more had it been a game which we won. That Leeds game was one of the best City performances in years, how it didn't have a score similar to Fulham is anyone's guess.
We did seem to play a much more free flowing game in the Championship. The Football League, whilst also being more physical, players seemed to have more space, closing down was less common than in the Prem. Also, we had Koren. That helps a lot.
