Not now. If the club had any intention of selling either or both Chester and Fawson then Rosie and Macca would have been offered new deals. Davies can go if we get an offer above £2m Imo. Davies like our strikers cost us vital league points during the season.
Looking at our squad now excluding the 3 strikers Leaves us stronger even now than any other championship club.
Calm down Tickles. Thats not what he's saying. If a bid comes in and its big enough and the player wants to go, the club are powerless to stop it.
"Elmohamady and Brady were vital to City's promotion in 2012/13 and, tailor-made to the wing-backs system, they finished last season strongly." I dont know about the majority of other fans, but its been killing me all of this season and its just got worse. Bruce playing Elmo and Brady as Wing backs. Its bonkers!!! The lads are very talented and are first class wingers against any side and tear it up whenever they play there, yes they are reasonable at L and R back however they're not able to play to their full potential; skinning people and putting in unbelievable crosses. All season we have had a very capable L and R back available Rosenior and Robertson, i genuinley think if we had played 4 at the back and elmo and brady on the wings we would have created more chances, therefore more goals despite strikers not performing to an acceptable level and we would still be in the premier league. How bruce hasn't played or even tried that formation and combo properly is beyond me. Please try fill me in on your views ...
The plastics are nailing their red shirts to the mast here, a lot of people can't have bothered watching us in the championship, because these comments are absolute bullshit. Aluko ran rings round every team he played against and could afford to be a greedy bastard because he created his own chances. He was far too good for the championship.
Well, if a team is only as strong as it's strikers we're going to be screwed without a couple of finds from somewhere as undoubtedly we will be losing Jelavic, Hernandez and N'Doye. All of the best Championship strikers, bar those at Blackburn, have been promoted to the Premier League, so there aren't many obvious targets knocking about. I wouldn't be having us as favourites for the Championship until I saw who was coming in up front. When Aluko was at Rangers he was played most often on the left wing, and to my mind that is where he should play for us (if it all). Unfortunately, there is no room for wingers in a 352, so what was the point of Ince, Ben Arfa, and maybe even Snodgrass when Bruce was doing his supermarket sweep last summer? And, if he was thinking of changing formation to a 4 at the back, then why now release our only half decent full-back?
aye he did 2 and a half years ago.. no guarantee it'l be the same now only bolasie challenged him that season
Snodgrass & Diamé will be very good championship players. I can't see Huddlestone staying We need a new Matty Fryatt
I never said that at all BCC what I said is in my post and only in my post. You can add what you like , but then that's you saying it, not me. So stop being stupid
Yes he did and if he stays fit he'll do it again. He should be one of the front two next season, even if he plays a little bit deeper just behind a striker.
Didn't we finish that season with one of lowest goals scored stats ever for a promoted team. Running rings round people is one thing, end product is another. He's absolute trash it was just a lot more evident in the PL then the Championship. Plus he's basic lack of ability to be able to stand up again within five minutes of been swept aside is comical. He should be given away never mind sold.
As I keep saying. Ince and Zaha were miles better. Bolasie didn't seem to become that good until he got to the PL. Remember him making a right tit of himself at the KC and our fans taking the piss out of him all game whenever he tried one of his tricks and fell over. Aluko had one good month or so where he scored about 6 of his 8 goals. Think that was October. Then the next month he barely had any impact on a goal and then got injured and has never been the same since. I remember talking about it at the time because everyone was worried about his injury and even then I was saying hang on, when was the last time he did anything. It'll be on this board somewhere for anyone who can be arsed.
Two in September, two in October and four in December, crocked from early Jan onwards. He was definitely good that season(more accurately, good for the half the season he was available).
See, there you go again BCC. In what way did I Highlight what Dawson was quoted as saying to the press. I didn't. I just posted the quote without a link. Seems stupidity reigns in your neck of the woods mate
He played four months before getting injured. Again, just nailing your colours to the mast PLW. Your comments are fairyland bullshit. You never saw Aluko in the championship did you. Not even once.
Thats not right. His last goals were in mid-November away at Birmingham. November was his really good month and it was after that that he fell away, before being ruled out for the season in January.
