What difference did your attacking options off the bench matter, when you banged in 101 goals with one of the best partnerships that the PL has ever seen, that included a World Class player who's now at Barca?

You lost the league by 2 points, you dropped 5 in the 2 games I highlighted and the reasons that you lost them.

Let these simple facts permeate.....if you'd have kept a clean sheet against Chelsea and not conceded 3 goals in 12 minutes when 3 up at Palace you'd have won the league by 2 points.

Many managers including Mourinho, Ferguson, wenger have said that although you need a strong attack, you also need a good defence. The reason is that sooner or later your attack will come up against fierce resistance and you'll need a good defence to grind out a result because you can never rely on scoring 3 or 4 a game to bail you out.

Last season we had the best attack in the premiership. So good in fact that it almost didn't matter that we had a weak defence. With a better defence we would have won the title. As it was Chelsea was the stronger team last season as shown by the top teams mini league. They lost points with the lower placed teams. We were ruthless against those.

Fluke? As I said no fluke but many things happened that helped: the best attack, United on the slide, Fewer games. And of course Suarez which with his dynamism, drive and talent pulled the team along including Rodgers. This year we had none of those factors, with the resulting outcomes.

 

So your CM falling over near the centre circle and having no-one behind him on the cover when he got robbed of the ball wasn't bad defending in a game that you didn't even have to win, just avoid defeat in?

You do realise if your goal difference hadn`t been so **** you would not have had to go so mad at Palace? A three goal lead at half time would have probably won you the league

 

How can you say that one more attacker would have won you the title?

Can you predict how many goals they would have gotten
