Don't necessarily totally agree with your conclusions but definitely approaching things the right way and looking at things from the right perspective, so my personal town gold star for you. The key for me especially from how the two games I've played on here went is not to look at the total inactives but those that will pop their head in from time to time to appear active without actually offering anything to the game, putting forward ideas or asking others for ideas or actually engaging people beyond taking the piss (First example I've seen of this so far is Tobes, two posts made but nothing of actual content). Usually if someone is almost completely inactive it either means they're just not around and may have forgotten about the game (Like Magic did and ****ed us over a couple games ago) or the role they got was vanilla and they lost interest or think they don't really have any part to play other than voting so just don't get involved. It's the ones just hovering above the bottom line that need to be examined. It's not a massive sign of guilt this early as to be fair there's **** all to go on on day 1 but anyone who keeps it up should have the light shined on them.
What about if their posting activity fits in with their regular style? Some of us always post more than others anyway. Being talkative in this game gets you in hot water but people should consider the poster and active they normally are. For example, if I stay quiet like did in one of the previous games (because I was on annual leave and decorating) I don't get pulled into the fold. If I talk I am guaranteed to be in the lynch firing line. However, I have made more posts than anyone else on the entire site so I am obviously a talkative poster
I dunno, to me if your regular style is to pop in from time to time without actually putting anything forwards and helping the game move along or helping town win, what use are you? Just another vote that if town isn't active and co-ordinated is just going to be a blind shot in the dark anyway.

This is only my 2nd game and it seems to be a theme that if you pipe up then you get lynched. There's little to go on in the early stages and people just shoot from the hip at anyone who stands out, and you only stand out if you post plenty. Bod was very vocal last time, but has hardly posted so far, despite being on the forum......
Cos I am at work all day. Most of the time I have **** all to do, but have been in meetings most of the day and just left my PC logged in here and am reading **** when I get back to my desk. (Plus I got into a debate with redconn on another thread, a quite frankly ridiculous argument) Trust me, I was vocal on the occassion when I was Mafia too. Is stupid to change your play style depending on whether you are mafia or town, because it instantly gets spotted, as you have just proven......
So let's see some voting then! If you think Bod is suspicious, throw in a vote Tobes... It's the only way to get some reaction going, at least you can back up why you are voting that way OK I'm off home and will be cooking supper for friends, I'll be online the last hour or so before we lynch some poor soul and see who gets killed by the multitude of psychos out there. My recommendation as said earlier is to get BobbyD and Billy (or any other 2 suspicious fellas) in a four way with 2 quiet posters, see what crawls out the woodwork.

What are we on at the moment? Bobby 2, Billy 2, Bod 1? If that's the case I'll vote Bod, mainly just to even it up, and also I guess slightly because he was fairly quiet but appeared as soon as he was mentioned, could just be coincidence but also pretty standard play for someone trying to float along the game just between the inactive and active players.
