Manchester United could face Monaco in Champions League
Manchester United will find out on 7 August who they will face in the play-off round of the Champions League.
Louis van Gaal's side finished fourth in the Premier League, looking to return to the group stages of the competition after a one-season absence.
The three-time winners could face 2004 finalists Monaco, who beat Arsenal in the last 16 this season.
The Red Devils could also come up against other unseeded teams such as Lazio or Sporting Lisbon.
Anderlecht, CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce, Panathinaikos, Rapid Vienna, Sparta Prague and Young Boys make up the rest of their possible opponents.
United missed out on playing in the tournament during the 2014-15 season after finishing seventh under David Moyes in his sole season as manager.
Under Sir Alex Ferguson, they appeared in Europe's elite competition for 18 consecutive campaigns between 1996 and 2014.
The last time they played in the qualifiers was 10 years ago, overcoming Hungarian side Debrecen to advance.
Ties to be played on 18/19 and 25/26 August 2015

You might be lucky and get an easier one anyway, avoiding a trip to Russia would be nice though.

It would be a bit of a blow to say the least if we didn't get past the qualifier!

A nice easy one is what we want, if such a thing exists. If I didn't have kids and responsibilities nowadays a little trip to Prague would be very tempting indeed!

Been a couple of times, it's beautiful. Cracking beer too.

Not been for a while though, I believe it's become a bit stag do central.

My wife went on a mini break with her mum and said it was nice and that was only a year ago, I think it depends on where you go.

Yeah, Old Town is still picturesque and quaint, the new town, which isn't really that new obviously, is where all the stag's go.

Been there in winter twice, it really is lush with the snow on the ground and such like.

The wife said it was old and really nice, I'll have to get myself there. Off to Portugal at the end of the month, first time there.

The evidence from this season is that LVG and his team tend to do well against the top (so called tricky) side but get shafted by the middling side that tends to spring a surprise with their mass defending and counterattacking. These are were English premiership/championship sides.

United better treat all the sides as tricky and deserving of the utmost respect.
