I enjoyed it. The characters fitted in well together, there was a decent amount of war action in it and it was quite gory at times. They managed to convey how tough being in a war is on the people involved pretty well, I thought.

    Definitely worth a watch.

I would say yeah.... the Mexican tank driver sticks out a country mile. Dunno why someone would think that worked.

I think yeah decent film. I saw it in cinema and felt some was quite good some weak but the thing is a good watch

Apparently there were 350,000 Mexican Americans at WW2, so I don't think it was that unrealistic.

For me it wasn't the Mexican thing, it was more the attitudes of the characters. They just seemed too modern.

I get the film wanted to show that not everybody in the allied forces was a saint or hero, but I felt the film tried to do that by making them on a par with today's less than desirable soldiers. Like they'd taken the characters from 'Jarhead' and put them into a WW2 setting.

Tha Mexican bit was directed at Mito.

I guess it was just a need to have characters that the target audience could relate to a little more so they modernised some aspects of their personalities.

Finally caught up with season finale of Gotham. One of only two series in about a decade that I've watched through to the end of a season. Brilliant idea, look forward to second series.

Well didn't see that twist coming...

    #10098
  19. I called that twist very early on but thought it would be too obvious lol

I think it's probably one of those films were you need to watch it a second time to appreciate everything

When I watch films I try not to think about what could be happening and just try watch what I can see so if any twists do happen its a surprise rather than thinking well that was obvious.

Just find ins makes them more enjoyable <ok>

    good film though, would recommend
