Yeah marine. Currently have 2 tanks. A 300l one and a 100l one. Ordering a 450l one tomorrow and will move contents of the other 2 to that one and flog the 2 old uns. Old big one was fish only and smaller has corals. New biggun will be reef with corals. Meant I had to move on 4 really non reef safe fish which was more traumatic and sad than the kids leaving home. Daughters asked me why I have more photos on my phone than them. Obviously it's because I love them more! Granddaughter is equal to the fish ofc.
Three weeks to go and I'll be joining Happy and Castro in educating a new generation into the joys and pain of being Hull City. If he or she is lucky and follows my advice they'll learn how to be a pain in the ass. I may also learn how to play a few new songs badly.
Probably chill out a bit, do a bit of gardening and hopefully get a few days out with the grandkids. But mainly I will be hoping and willing that Allam sells up and ****s off.
Daughter's off to Italy, wife's off to S.America on a long work trip. Means I can drink too much, eat chips and finish my bike restoration project. If that goes well and if I can find someone to feed the cat I might do a road trip to somewhere I haven't been before, Switzerland or maybe southern Germany. If I can't find a cat feeder I've got a man-shed building project on the backburner just waiting for a spare couple of weeks.
I used to have a marine tank but gave up after I had a wipe out which totally de-motivated me, one of my sons started it up again as a discus tank and then changed it to tropical and then f**ked off to London and left us with it so we are just winding it down as the fish die off.....kids eh???
Dad's away in Italy at the moment, he & Mum were at the Mugello MotoGP over this weekend. I don't think he has internet access at the minute so I thought I would post on here for him. I know he has weekends at most British Superbike rounds booked as well as a couple of track days on his new bike in Spain in July but what he doesn't know is that when he gets back into East Midlands Tuesday we have booked a night in the hotel for them (excuse is that we are working & can't pick them up until Wednesday) but the fact is that as a late birthday present we have him booked into the Elite class at Ron Haslam's Race School at Donington Park on Wednesday.....we are driving over Wednesday morning with his riding gear.......I think he'll be shocked
Nest time he's away, post on his behalf about the party we could have round his house, just let me and Chazz know on here, we're the soul of discretion. Chazz will bring the entertainment, Leicester style.
Cleaning brush, getting a few more goats. I am going to expand the goat play area by adding another stand alone section and bulding a bridge to it. I am going to expand my goat barn thingy, I will also will probably expand my grey water system to include the bathroom sinks. Beyond that I finally hope to beat XCom Enemy Unkown on impossible ironman setting.
I'm heading over Hull way tomorrow, been to Liverpool today. Garden's getting an overhaul, I'm getting a new shed. Off to Italy in August. Taking photos whilst continuing at night class & generally keeping busy.
He wouldn't mind the party but I think he'd be panicking about the risk to his Malt Whisky collection, I think it's probably worth half as much as the house & he thinks more about it than us !!
Going to avoid all football stuff for a month or so until the pre-season kicks in, hope all Hull City fans have a nice summer and enjoy any holidays, see you back here at the end of July
Improve my golf score. I'm getting close to my best/lowest ever handicap....a mere 56 strokes and 11 (or was it 5 ?) aces behind Kim Jong-Il's masterstroke of political "vote-grabbing" delusional paranoia. Tomorrow I'll shoot scratch, or coke maybe. http://www.golf.com/tour-and-news/k...round-may-not-have-been-all-it-was-cracked-be
Well I'm looking forward to a late summer/Fall move back to southern California once my house here on Salt Spring Island, BC, is sold. It'll be nice at my age to exchange Canada's cold rainy/snowy winters for Palm Springs sunshine and occasional rounds of golf. Biggest problem down there is the growing water shortage and rationing. Probably have to skip the big swimming pool and stick to a small spa and put in desert landscaping instead of the lawns. But it'll be nice to be closer to my 4 kids in LA/Santa Barbara and spend more time with the grandkids. Also I'll be able to get to the Galaxy games and watch Stevie G. in action who begins his U.S. career in early July.
