    He must have forgoten about using David Rozenthal to hoof some big balls the way of Owen, playing up to on his own, for a few games.

    A few games! His entire gameplan here was to ignore the midfield and hoof balls at MO and OM, who even if they stood on each others shoulders are still shorter than most centre halfs.

    Did anyone see when him and Ian Holloway were the studio guests for a Sky game last year and Olly basically ripped Allardyces tactics to bits? His only comeback was that he plays the tactics that suit the players he has. Bollocks...

    I think you're all being unfair on Fat Sam. It all depends on your interpretation of entertaining football. Some might find two midgets trying to beat two 6ft plus centre halfs in the air week and week entertaining. Clearly Sam did. I think he gets a bad press, he just has a different idea of what nice entertaining football is. Or maybe he just wanted the whole crowd to feel involved? Nobody has ever thought about that have they. Maybe he is just way ahead of his time. Think about it, stadiums are getting bigger and bigger, to such an extent you can feels miles away from the pitch. Clever Sam has simply found away to involve those people, and get them closer to the action. He is an innovator I tell thee!

    Hmm.

    I never thought about it that way before.

    He's a genius.

    I now think that his open mouth chewing routine is simply a way to send coded messages to any potentially aggressive alien society that the Earth is not for the taking via the medium of TV signals beamed into space.

    They'd certainly know that they'd have to avoid an Allardyce team playing football for fear of having the ship bombarded by balls and their advanced weapons would be useless above 4000 feet.
