The whinging is getting dull.

We got relegated and have to trim the squad. You knew it had to happen. Just move on.

 

But why let those two go?

 

I knew it had to happen yes, just not by getting rid of quality players that would die for the cause.

 

That would make sense if we were getting rid of players that we don't need.

 

It's a ridiculous decision. To replace players of the calibre of McShane and Rosenior would cost a sizeable amount. I do think it's highly likely we'll lose other defensive players like Elmo and Chester. In which case we had replacements already at the club, now we don't. Not only that, but they were fierce advocates of the area - in particular Rosenior who always spoke very fondly of the area.

Careers are short and you accept players get over the hill and need to be moved on. McShane was still putting in MOTM performances in the PL. ****ing mental decision to let him leave for nothing.

 

They'll be doing that as well. Same with players we can make money from.

Out of contract players are always targeted.

I find the constant wallowing, of the past week, over two players leaving & fans now hating their club tedious.

McShane is an average player who has been overpaid by the club for the past 5 years, and he knows this which is why he always puts in a shift.

If Davies comes back to form next season, McShane wouldnt have even been in the side.
