Barton is said to be keen to remain in the Premier League next season and West Brom boss Tony Pulis is reportedly considering offering the 32-year-old a deal. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image However Leeds are want to hold talks with Barton this week to table an offer and are hoping new boss Uwe Rosler will be able to persuade him to join the club. Leeds slumped to a 15th place finish in the Championship last season while suffering substantial off-the-field issues. It is hoped that if Barton were to head to Elland Road, he would offer some much-needed experience in their attempt to bounce back from the disappointing season.
Exactly, it could hardly be called a "stunning swoop" as he hasn't got a club. Obviously a slow news day.
Why is it a stunning swoop? If fact whats the difference between a normal and a stunning swoop? Is there life on mars?
Good move for him. Presumably low wages so good move for Leeds too. No ill feeling towards Barton from me. There's a long list of ex-players I'd smack in the mouth before him.
£1m = £20k a week. Bit of a drop. There again, still more than most of us earn in months. Will Pulis offer him more to go to WBA?
