Agreed to some extent... But what has that got to do with Arsenal? Or are you suggesting that luck is all we're currently missing?
The point I was making is that it won't just be based on the logic you were suggesting wouldn't enable Wenger to win the league again. It's not just down to luck of course, but any manager will tell you that despite all the planning, tactics, buying the right players etc Luck still plays a huge part in the outcome of any season.
Yes it does... But the reason we haven't won PL or CL the last 11 years is not because of a lack of luck. We could get all the luck in the world and still have the same frailties as always next year. There are logical and obvious ways to improve our team before we go worrying about whether luck will be on our side this year.
I'm not saying it is just down to luck, the point I was making is that it's not just simply determined by the logic of what has preceded.
I think the vague points we're both trying to make aren't really related anyway, certainly not opposite to each other, so I can agree with both.
Anyone using points tally to assess wether we have progressed doesn't really understand what they are talking about. This is also effected by the strength of our rivals. For example both Chelsea and United are stronger than last term.
