I seem to remember him making a miraculous recovery whenever it was time to play for Oz as well?

On topic, if there's a better candidate than Djimi, bless'im, I need reminding.

Traore and David May for us and UTD but surely were missing some bad one's from non English teams who have won it, the worst one i could find was Finidi George who is a former Ipswich stalwart and won it with Ajax.

At least he contributed, scoring a very cool penalty in the shootout.

Kewell on the other hand put in the most lamentable performance before he was mercifully hooked. Traore was brilliant that night in comparison.

Traore was! I'm glad someone else noticed that! He put the in the performance of his life.

I agree about Kewell also. If I remember correctly he is was actualy booed when we took him off!

I bet rafa wanted to punt him for having faith in him for that match too! I can't really remember if Baros was any good that game? Wasn't it another one of his games where a contribution here and there but meh nothing else ( backheel to Gerrard for PK if I remember right).

On that Note, Baros is another who constantly P***ed me off! For Czech he was golden boot winner, for Liverpool, he was nothing nothing nothing 2 goals nothing nothing nothing goal and assist. Used to drive me crazy.

Yer I was never a big fan of Baros.

He scored a few, but was never much better than average. Too many easy chances missed.

Baros was actually an incrediblly talented footballer. The problem a lot of Liverpool fans had with him is that he played with his head down.He had so much ability it was unbelievable. He seemed to waste it though.FSP was another waste. He was capable of the sublime and the substandard sometimes in the same game. The time he nutmegged Viera at Anfield in our 2-1 win over Arsenal was top class.Thats the one when Mellor won it with a speculative shot in injury time.I remember it well,I went back to college early that sunday to watch the game.

Can't believe my mate Djimi is getting so much stick on here, was never as bad as the media made out all though he did make some shocking mistakes.

He actually had a decent game that night.

He did. He was a decent defender at a lower table team. I hold nothing against him realy. Some comicle errors I will perhaps not cherish!

I was excited when we signed Baros and I knew when he'd make the first team he'd come good... he didn't :( There were times when I thought he could have been a decent striekr but most of the time he didn't show it. when we sold him to Villa a part of me thought he'd find form and change, but he didn't (I thought the same of Juan Pablo Angel too)

Kewell was rubbish, I remember seeing him in the line up and sighing. I smilied when he went off and I'm not one for that attitude, heck I want Poulson to prove me wrong as I remember him being decent in spain.

Traore had the game of his life in the 2005 final and for that game alone earnt his medal while Kewell didn't.
